    Henry linked to Barca Move

MADRID, Spain (AP) -- FC Barcelona is reportedly keen to sign Arsenal striker Thierry Henry at the end of the season.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta was quoted by Catalunya Radio this week as saying he was "finalizing the signing" of the France forward.

Meanwhile, sports daily Mundo Deportivo said Thursday that Barcelona has yet to make a firm bid for Henry but is considering offering him a lucrative three-year contract.

The 29-year-old rejected a move to Barcelona after Arsenal's defeat by the Catalan club in the Champions League final a year ago, choosing to extend his contract with Arsenal to 2010.

However, the recent departure of Arsenal vice-president David Dein has led to doubts about whether Henry will stay beyond this season.

Henry, who has been sidelined over the past two months with a stomach and groin injury, has linked his future with Arsenal to that of team coach Arsene Wenger, a close friend of Dein.

Reports have suggested Henry would replace Samuel Eto'o, whom Barcelona is said to be willing to sell at the end of the season. Manchester United, Liverpool and AC Milan are reportedly interested in the Cameroon striker.

Barcelona, Spanish champion the last two seasons, again leads the league with five games remaining and is also challenging to win the Copa del Rey for the first time since 1998.

However, the team's displays have been less impressive this season, prompting suggestions there may soon be changes in personnel.

if this is to happen, think of how dominant Barca would be next year, Ronaldinho AND Henry on the SAME team?!

and imagine if the other deal goes down with Eto'o going to either Liverpool,Manu or Milan! holy smokes

I'd rather have Torres or Villa, but Henry would be great too

If lets assume Henry does go, then I'm assuming Barca will pay around 35 million pounds for his transfer so they can, I dont know, make a swap deal with him for Eto'o.

But this will be Arsenal's season without Henry

                        Henry will not leave

Henry will stay at Arsenal, insists Wenger

Arsene Wenger has 'guaranteed' Arsenal captain Thierry Henry will not be sold this summer.

Recent reports have linked the France international, 29, with a move to Barcelona during the close season.

Following a fallow season at the Emirates Stadium, during which a Carling Cup final appearance was the closest the Gunners came to silverware, it has been suggested that Henry might look elsewhere in search of honours as he nears his 30th birthday.

The former Juventus hitman has not played since March due to stomach and groin injuries, prompting fears he may have made his last appearance in north London.

But Wenger has dismissed that suggestion and said: 'It is more down to imagination than anything else, Thierry Henry will be here next year.'

Asked whether he could guarantee to fans that Henry would remain at the Emirates after the current campaign, he told the club's website www.arsenal.com: 'Yes, of course
