Betman finally got his way. It should be clear to everyone what this years cup was about when he got on the mic and said California won the cup. What a travesty of justice.

I'm so happy Anaheim won the Stanley Cup. I remember supporting the Ducks even back in 1993, their first season when Ron Wilson was our head coach. I remember almost throwing up after the 94 season when we won a pathetic 16 games. Worst coach ever! The 2003 season was bittersweet because we made it to the finals, but we lost to the NJ devils. Although we only made it ot the NHL playoffs four times out of 13 years,(the first being in 1997), we finally won.

I"m so happy this has not been a good sports year for me. I suffered through Iran watching them live in Germany, the Raiders, and the Lakers. Thank God at least the Ducks won.

Tell me about it man, Almost all Canada's best players are being bought out by the American teams!

Nonetheless Congrats Anaheim, you were just invincible this year's playoffs.

You don't need to tell me this bro I've been watching the Ducks since 1993, their first season under coach Ron Wlison. I'm not some typical LA bandwaggon LOL correction OC bandwaggon(Anaheim is OC but still there is a lot of supporters in LA) fan who just started following the Ducks because now they are the Champions. Yep 16 out of 19 Ducks are Canadian. I dont' see Canadian or American my friend when you wear the Ducks jersey. I just see a Ducks hockey player in my eyes.

HELL YA AFTER 13 YEARS FINALLY THE DUCKS ARE THE 2007 NHL CHAMIPNS!!!!

Salary cap isen't just there in the NHL dude its' also there in the NFL and the NBA as well. If you go over a certain ammount you will pay an extral luxury tax. I don't think the new NHL is trying to sell it to Americans beccause in places like the Mid West and the East Coast hockey has always been big. I think they are trying to even the playing field and they don't want to become like baseball where Steinbrenner, the owner of the Yankess can just buy a championships. He can just sign the best players and say FU to the rest of the MLB like forking over roughly$170,000,000 for Derek Jeter and $252,000,000, for A. Rod. He spent $422,000,000 million for two players, which is more than what some teams have for their ENTIRE ROSTER.

I guess the NHL doesn't want to see some spend happy owner do the same thing in hockey.

but baba the people who pay 150 $ a ticket night in and night out deserve to see a championship and a team full of stars no?

the nhl was never like that nobody would go out and spend that much on a player the most i remmeber wud be like 7 or 8 million. look at the leafs now they cant lure players to the team anymore by throwing around their cash which is unfair to the fans cuz we pay alot to see the big names and championship but never see it.. before the leafs cud get anybody they want same with the rangers i remember they signed pavel bure for a ridiculous amount but if u ask me i think thats fair because the fans are paying for it, the cities that pay 50 bucks for a ticket shud see mediocre players on the team and the fans payin bug bucks shud get to see the superstars.

I see what you are saying but I guess I"m all for parity in the NHL. I don't like it when one team dominates over everybody else. Remember how bad baseball got when every year it seemed like the Yankess made it to the world series? At lesat now in hockey even the small market team has a shot to win it.

Of course I can see your argument if you pay $150 a ticket you deserve to watch a championship caliber team. If you pay $50 a ticket you deserve to see an average team.
