Team Of The Season 2006/2007

Now that it is the end of the season for many of the big European leagues, and only a couple more games to go in the others, we can see the players who have shined this year and those who have not, and the performances of the teams from the CL and Uefa Cup therefore i've opened a thread so that you can post what you think was this years EUROPEAN (only players that play for teams in europe) team of the season. So here is my team, please post yours.

GK: Tim Hildebrand (Stutgart)-his steady nerves and fine saves helped Stutgart win the Bundesliga.

RB: Maicon (Inter)-Brilliant attacking right-back.

CB: Nemanja Vidic (Man Utd)-he made a slow start, but is now irreplaceable.

CB: Pepe (Porto)-the guy has been solid all season.

LB: John Arne Riise (Liverpool)-The guy was outstanding in Liverpools run to the CL final.

RM: Cristian Ronaldo (Man Utd)-scintillating winger and now a good finisher.

CM: Mark Van Bommel (Bayern Munich)-His drive and leadership would be an asset to any team and IMO Van basten needs to take note.

CM: Andres Iniesta (Barcelona)-finally stepped out of Xavi's shadow at Barca, showing control and vision.

LM: Ryan Giggs (Man Utd)-was in some form this season and is still a match winner.

RS: Didier Drogba (Chelsea)-at this moment in time one of the best strikers in the world, he was top goalscorer of the premiership.

LS: Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Inter)-This guy was instrumental in Inter's record-breaking winning run in Serie A. He's a love him or loathe him kinda guy

my team of the year looks like this.. after alot of thinking i think this is the best team of 2007 and if a team was made like this they could never loose

These are by far the most effective players of the season.

Kanoute is the biggest surprise but he was phenomenol with Sevilla, top scorer beside Van Nitlerooy and won the UEFA Cup.

These are by far the most effective players of the season.
I can't believe people left out Totti, Kanoute and Nistlerooy who were probably the best players of the season alongside Kaka and C.Ronaldo.

Put Drogba in La Liga and he won't score as many as Kanoute or Nistlerooy.

he's a good player no doubt, but 3rd.

if Eto'o had good form then Eto'o would be #1.
