So, the season is over, spurs win...again...
here is where we can talk about trades, coaches fired, arrests, the draft, etc
so this week my team (the nuggets) had a busy time....First jr smith was in a fatal car accident and had to go to the hospital...he is still in the hospital but seems to be ok thank god, but a passenger in his car passed away...khoda biamorz
talented benchwarmer dermarr johnson (who would be part of the rotation of more than half of the teams in the NBA) was arrested for resisting arrest, or public disturbance, or something like that....so far not so good
it seems like the kobe bryant trade talks have died down, but you can bet that the lakers will be VERY active this offseason. Denver is trying to move defensive player of the year marcus camby and the pacers are considering moving jermaine o'neal. A trade that is being discussed is this:
Jermaine O'Neal and Marcus Camby to the Lakers
Ike Diogu, Jeff Foster to the Nuggets
Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum and Kwame Brown to the Pacers.
obviously we would be getting the worst out of the deal, but its more of a salary cap thing with us. The lakers, although they are giving away pretty much everyone, they are getting in return 2 FANTASTIC players. For indiana, these are quality players; maybe they need to get away from kobe in order to succeed.
Now, we dont have any draft picks in this draft, but keep in mind that we are getting all star KENYON MARTIN back, and it seems like nene is finding his form. It might take a while for k mart to get back from surgery, so we might use him as trade bait.
the main person we are trying to get this off season, although unlikely, and unfortunate that it is unlikely because it is a PERRRFECT fit:
*DRUMS PLEASE*
CHAUNCEY BI-BI-BI-BILLUPSSSS
you heard it here first
and if it happens, expect big things from denver next year
but it will be difficult if it doesnt, especially in the division, which was a cake-walk this year, with the exception of the western conference finalists utah, but both of the big guns this draft, oden and durant, will be in the northeast next year
and seattle, if healthy, is REALLY good; rashard lewis (btw the nuggets are looking at him too, i love him, amazing offensive player, but thats a little to much offense for us imo), ray allen, AND kevin durant...
