Interesting you should say that because last Copa America Mexico beat Argentina 1-0 but lost to Brazil 4-0. I know that they are without Borgetti because he got injured and this is not their strongest team in the tourney. They had their A team in the Gold Cup like USA, but Mexico still has a very storng team and much more depth than USA.

Heyman the reason why all the Americas don't participate is because this is a prestegious tournament and only the good teams from the Americas qualify. Generally speaking only USA and Mexico are invited to the tournament. Every now and then you get some team like Japan who get's invited because another team pulls out.

Venezuela has been very impressive, their first match with Bolivia in a 2-2 draw was good football, (The best 2 nations in South America, arguably the world right now )
I like Mexico's chances despite the fact they didn't bring their best team and just recently completed the Copa Oro tournament. Brasil has looked sloppy for quite a few yrs now, they make too many changes to their team I feel.
Why is it that the Copa America is every two yrs? Why is it that all the America's do not take part? I feel it would be an even better tournament that way.

it was like tennis in the midfield, back and forth losing possession and giving away easy balls. the goals were okay... some were basically own goals or errors.

It was thier B team USA already qualified for the confederation cup. They had no reason to bring in their A team. What if a key player got seriously injured in this tournament? USA had nothing to gain by bringing in their A team, so they brought in the B team to give some of the younger players a chance. It will actually benefit USA in the long run becasue this will add depth and experience to the bench. There is nothing wrong with that it's a brilliant move. By the way I woudn't laugh too much can you honestly tell me Iran could of done any better?
