analysis on the worst ever Team China

basically this is the worst and weakest Team China in history, they know they only went there for tourist and Shoping so no one takes them seriously.
    team Roster
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China_n...#Current_squad
the greatest weakness is the coach Zhu Guanghu, he is a idiot, despite leading Team China B team to win the EAFF Championship in 2005, he did nothing in previous 3 years, he have selected 108 players into NT camp and plays every game with totally different squads. he is the worst ever Team China Coach in history, just take a look at this table: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China_n...#China_coaches
He himself insists if Team China can't reach the semi-final, the CFA may sack him and the whole country are now waitting for that
average age of the team is 25.57, fomations are 3-5-2 and 4-4-1-1
    Key Players:
Zheng Zhi (26): (Captain) enjoyed a successful six-month loan deal in Charlton Athletic last season. he could play in all position except for Goalkeeper he is known for his goalscoring ability and his strong runs into the penalty area.
Li Weifeng (29): (Former Captain) most capped player in this Team China, one of the best CB in Asia but more and more like a idiot, recieved 6 red cards in 14 months that's a very famouse record hehe.
Sun Jihai (29): (Vice Captain) needn't to say more about him
Ji Mingyi (26): (Third Captain) Dalian Shide captain, who is nicknamed ‘Iron Man’ by Chinese fans, has been named China’s best defender by Chinese lengend striker Hao Haidong. has recently been struggling with a hamstring injury.
Zhou Haibin (21): (U-23 team China Captain) he is the play maker
Shao Jiayi (27): MVP of team China in 2004 AC, most talented player in this team
Han Peng (23): a very very powerful striker
Qu Bo(26): just back to the NT after a 4 year's absent.
Dong Fangzhuo (22): a future star, made his full debut for ManU during a goalless draw at Chelsea towards the end of last season.
generally speaking it's the worst team in history, no one cares about them

I was very impressed by Zheng Zhi during his brief stint in England, and a few other players in the squad are technically good......but for China fans themselves to be so pessimistic must mean that things are pretty bad!!

still, looking forward to a good game next sunday.

china has never been at the same level as iran, japan, s. korea, saudi, australia. those five are the best in asia and are in another class. The only player that I fear is shao. he scored a goal against us in asian cup as well. sun jihai is good too. the rest of your squad I don't know anything about them because I have not seen anything impressive from them. i will never forget asian cup terrible officiating against china. and I was pissed that china made it wc02 with the easy group they had while iran, saudi and bahrain had to fight for a spot. that was unfair. china was the worst team in that world cup they didn't score and lost every game by at least two goals. I am glad iran is gonna play china. if the refs are fair iran should win easily. although I hope it will be a beat down. no offense to you though redmissile. I just have no respect for chinese team and I have less respect for sattar zareh our defender that pushed your player who should have won an oscar for his acting.
china and uzbekistan are second tier teams.

Tiger, I think you are too pessimistic about China. With Han Peng in front and Shao Jiayi a little bit behind and backed up by attacking midfielders Zheng Zhi and Wang Dong (I think China will mostly play 4-4-1-1 or 4-4-2; I have never seen China played 3-5-2), China do have powerful attacking power. Besides, China also have good substitutes, Zhao "Cannon Ball" Xuri who has made several long powerful goals and "Bullet" Dong Fangzhuo who runs pretty fast beside the now injured Qu Bo. Right back Sun Jihai with his good ball passing usually tends to help attacking from the right side and newcomer Mao Jianqing is a good midfielder.
China lost several friendly games: 0-1 to Thailand, 1-3 to Australia and 1-4 to USA but at those games Chinese players who play in Europe have not joined the team. The real power of China could be seen at their last friendly when they beat Australia League Champion Melbourne Victory. Below was what Melbourne Victory's Coach said after the match:
"China are a big strong side, who are good in the air and good at set-pieces. It was an opportunity and an honour for us to play the national team, it was a top class game. China are very quick and technically a good team and they opportunities with quick passing around the box. I would expect China to at least finish in the top four at the Asian Cup."

China's a good team, by Asian standards of course, but I wouldn't give them any chance of beating Iran. 2nd place will be up for grabs however between China and Uzbekistan.

In an interview broadcasted by ESPN Sports, ex Malaysian national team's player Dollah Saleh said Malaysia could win over China by 1-0 or at least hold China to a 1-1 draw. It seems that impressed by good results obtained by Vietnam and Thailand, Malaysia will play all out with the support of their supporters at Bukit Jalil Stadium tonight.

However, I think it is hard for Malaysia to make any surprise. Iran, China and Uzbekistan have equal chance to advance to the quarter finals in this group.
