That said, look out in '08 when PUMA doesn't renew its contract with the IR.IFF and Iran is back to wearing those generic, third-world Shekari/Iranol jerseys - otherwise known as the shirt with not only three stripes, but three brands.

Speaking of jerseys; I just saw Egypt's. Damn, it's really cool with the Pharaoh in the background. It would be so cool if Team Melli had something like that but with Cyrus the great or the "cat".

qatar's nr23 Sebastian Quintana is a gun, all their attacks are relied on him and his free kick againts Japan was great.
Its a shame though he is a vatanfuroosh, he has the potential to play for his own native Uruguay but seems to be just playing for money.Comment

. I bought a plain long-sleeve one, and a short-sleeve with the official Puma font.. well over a 100 bucks 
. But hey, the shirt is pretty wicked. My only complaint is that the short-sleeve version only has 4 stars above the federation logo, they only added the 5th on the long-sleeve one (wtf). The question is how long will the Puma deal last. They've sponsored us off and on since the 70s, and our FA always finds a way to screw up these deals (they did the same with Adidas a few years back).
So whose fault is it that Iran doesn't have a watermark on their shirts? I hear it's the FA's but at worst, couldn't they have just told Puma to come up with an idea themselves?Comment

Most Iranians would like to see somthing on the shirt that represents our ancient past like your current jersey. The pic we have on oours doesn't look like anything.
Iranians would like to see either "the cat" aka 'Shir-0-Khorshid' or maybe the aryan symbol with the man with the wings would also be nice.
The current regime doesn't want to affiliate itself with Iran's ancient past but rather Islam!Comment
