Joorabchian warrented for arrest with russian partner!

    in some deep sh1t

Russia moved closer to getting its hands on President Vladimir Putin's arch foe, Boris Berezovsky, yesterday after a Brazilian judge issued a warrant for the London-based billionaire's arrest on money laundering charges.

Britain has twice refused to extradite Mr Berezovsky, who denies the latest charges, after a 2003 court ruling granted him political asylum.

This move infuriated the Kremlin and soured Anglo-Russian relations.

But a Sao Paulo court demanded the detention of Mr Berezovsky and his associates over accusations that money had been laundered through the city's Corinthians football club.

The order comes after a two-year investigation into large quantities of cash allegedly pumped into the club by an investment group fronted by Mr Berezovsky's long-time associate, the Iranian-born businessman, Kia Joorabchian.

A warrant has also been issued for the arrest of Mr Joorabchian, who allegedly oversaw the transfer of Carlos Tevez, an Argentinian football star, from the Corinthians to West Ham United.

This was the subject of an inconclusive investigation by the Premier League last year. Mr Berezovsky swiftly denied the allegations.

"I have no doubt that the Brazilian story is an extension of the Kremlin's politicised campaign against me," he said.

"I am not involved in money laundering, nor have I been involved in any dealings connected to Carlos Tevez."

Mr Berezovsky, unpopular in Russia for his role in the 1990s privatisation drive, has been the target of a propaganda campaign.

Pro-Kremlin newspapers have gone so far as to claim - without any evidence - that he ordered the murder of Alexander Litvinenko, the former KGB defector whom he employed, in an attempt to tarnish the reputation of Mr Putin.

As an extradition treaty exists between the two countries, Britain could, in theory, hand Mr Berezovsky over to Brazilian authorities. "There would need to be a lot of evidence," said a Home Office official.

However, it is unclear whether Mr Berezovsky's asylum status affords him protection from extradition to third countries. Britain could seek assurances that Brazil would not hand Mr Berezovsky to Russia.

Does any1 know where joorabchian lives currently.... this could majorly affect the tevez deal

    haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahaha shadyyyy

and i think he lives in both sao paolo and london. and it wont have an impact on the tevez deal simply because tevez will say i had nothing to do with this, talk about how crooked joorabchian was, FIFA will say he had nothing to do with all of this, and he will get a new agent.

lol he won't be living there long... but joorabchian is more than Tevez's agent... he legally owns the rights to the players contract... and if he is transferred to united... west ham will not get a single penny....

What a shady character. I have to say the idea of a businessman "owning" a player is really disturbing. Players should be registered with football clubs only and not with some third party entity.
