What do you mean route into the European scene? If he signed with Benfica he already is in the European scene.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

Good for Adu this is a huge upgrade from the MLS. Sure he's playing in Portugal but at least it's Europe. The MLS is kind of in the same level as the IPL except they get paid better, and there is better organization in the MLS.

I think he is over rated personally... do people actually expect him to be better than the likes of Wayne Rooney? They hyped him up waaay too much as the "next pele"... btw remember rooney was only 16 when he scored a goal for everton in the premier league, the best league in the world.

                          lol...

You don't have to be a fan to know Adu is very talented, he single handedly with another teammate scored and dribbled 2 goals against Brazil in the under 20 world cup and won the match. And the US was crap in that game.

no one is saying he isnt talented, but he is simply way too overhyped (through no fault of his own). The second nike signed this guy, everyone in the U.S. started treating him as if his gonna lead them to the world cup, the best player ever blah blah. He is going to be a great playmaker but he'll never reach the levels of wayne rooney or c. ronaldo.
