Its part of the university village and most places over there accept the bruin card as sort of a payment. BTW there are always fights everywhere that doesnt mean the place in dangerous. Dangerous is where there is crime, drug dealin and mugging is going on. Its where you can't just walk by yourself in the street and feel safe. Thats all. I am glad you are spending money in westwood village. Maybe next time you can just send a money order and save the trouble of going west on I-10 (just kidding!!)

On topic now: We have started our ascent in the rankings. 9th now. Hopefully we can pull off a win against 5th ranked oregon and see some losses in the top 10 and we'll be on course!!

Its a shame to see pollsters penalize UCLA for playing with a walk on QB due to TWO injuries to the top 2 QBs and an injury to the 1st string RB.

When Michigan, USC and wisconsin (add many more) lost games to no namers they lost with their COMPLETE team. UCLA has not lost with Cowan in charge.

UCLA has beat stanford and OSU with a combined 85-31 score and those 2 teams beat CAL and SC.

Wake up pollsters, there is no jeckyl and hide. When UCLA has his complete team they dont lose easily and they are a 5-10th ranked team

Well I think the Trojans are better off with Sanchez at quarterback. He is much more mobile than JDB. You might as get some experience under his belt because next year Sanchez is your starter. JDB is no Palmer or Leinart we all know that. It took some time for Sanchez to wear out the rust of not playing football for nearly two years, but you can clearly see why this kid was the former #1 HS prep star two years ago.Both Scouts and Rivals had Sanchez the #1 HS QB of his class.

I would of gone to MV but I transfered to Crescenta Valley my Freshman year because I moved. Anyways Sanchez would not of been on my team either because he is class of 2004 and I was class of 2000. I have seen the kid play in high school because they would usually televise MV's games. What seperates Sanchez from Booty is his ablility to pick up the 1st down with his feet if the pass is not there. You can see if all the WR's are covered, JDB usually get's frustrated. Sanchez doesn't have Michael Vick speed but you just need to be moblie enough to pick up the 1st down with your feet if the pass is not there.

These days NFL scouts want a hybrid qb that can both scramble and be a pocket passer. Some dudes are great at being traditional three step and five step drop pocket passers. Others are exceptional scramblers like a Vince Young. Well Sanchez doesn't have the arm like Favre or speed like Vick, but the kid does enough to win.

I say that Sanchez is kind of in the mold of a Rich Gannon type QB.

Two tough losses in a row man I know how he feels. Nobody knows more about heart breaking losses than an MSU fan.

Good slate of games this weekend. We get to play Georgia, Penn State hosts Ohio State, and VT hosts BC. LSU could be back to #1 by monday. And Oregon maybe #2 by monday.

Now get this: I was expecting him (these 2 words are used a LOT in the world of finance) to start laughing and say how stupid the guy was since he has an MBA but goes like this: So what's wrong with that?? I said YOU MUST BE KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!
So apparently in the world of the trojans words have other meanings and the english language has been altered!!

P.S. SAAM, I am actually cool about the whole SC and ucla thing, it just makes me laugh though how hard they try to convince me they are better everytime we are around each other. As a matter of fact I have more close trojan friends nowdays than bruin friends

What is more embarassing is that head coach Mark Dantonio was brought in to MSU because the team was undisciplined, and had a lot of off the field issues LAST YEAR under John L Smith. Dantonio is viewed as a disciplinarian when he as an assistent under Nick Saban at MSU from 1995-1999 and Jim Tressel of tOSU from 2000-2004, and the Heac Coach at Cinci from 2004-2006.

Wow this is a black eye and a dark day for MSU football. Just when the program was heading in the right direction something like this happens. I hope they can stay focused agaisnt Iowa away this weekend. They are 3 point favorits on the road.

SirDarien Adams-is a starter and a good linebacker.
TJ Willimams was a WR last year and they converted him to a starting CB.
Ware is a reserve.
