                actually did you know that the word soccer comes from the word association, i believe the first league was United States Football Association, or something like that, they took the soc from associatoin, have no idea why lol, and added an -er

                  I think it was called the USFL Unikted States Football League if I"m not mistaken and the main attraction was the New York Cosmos. They had FranZ B and Pele on that team and they were actually able to fill up Giants stadium. At one point the Cosmos were more popular than the American Football New York Giants. What people don't understand is that the USA has $$$$$ to spend, so they can play agaisnt the best national teams. You will never see them playing against Iraq's B team like us. They play against top competition and that's how they are constantly improving. When you look at it even if USA loses they actually win because of the experience they will get playing agasint Brazil.
