Our under 17 beat Tajikistan 4-0 LOL
What are you talking about? Tajikistan was in the same group as Iran in the U-17 Championship and topped the group in addition to beating Iran 2-1.

Guys guys guys.. I've been observing the US development for quite some time now, and I can tell you that US soccer has progressed much farther in the past.. say ten years, than Iran's. Much of that is due to available resources applied to soccer in the USA (compared to Iran), and the growing popularity here.

In my opinion, Iran has more "talent", in the sense that the players have better technical skills on the ball. But ball-skills are something developed over time, starting from youth, and you guys have to understand that soccer in the USA is still picking up steam in popularity. It's still not a sport that is ubiquitously played in parks and gyms all over the country. I believe that with each successive generation here in the USA, more and more kids will choose soccer as their sport, and thus you will see more kids developing great technical skills, which will then translate to the US national team level.

Now, some have an indirectly implied a comparison of the US national team compared to TM. I think that if the two played today, you would see better technical skills from TM, but the US nats would eventually wear us down. The US nats are, dare I say, more athletic and better conditioned overall. Furthermore, I am convinced that the US nats have better coaching on their side.
