WoW before I start I would just like to say that Lionel Messi is a brilliant player.. I love this guy 
OK this game was last night and it ended 1-0 for Argentina goal scored by Bayern Munich's Martin Demichelis off a set piece from Messi. It was an attractive game to watch as Argentina had nearly all their stars including Messi, Tevez, Gago, Mascherano etc.
The Australians withstood the Argentinian attack pretty well in my opinion and they had a couple of good opportunities of their own in the first half when Marco Breciano's free kick was incredibly kept out. Leo Messi had a nice solo effort denied by the post when he took on two three defenders and shot from long range.
Argentina had 61% possesion in the first half so its accurate to say that they dominated Australia. The second half was more still as subtitutions occured but the good thing was the we got to see Messi play 89min and he is simply amazing. Tevez was pretty quite by his standards although he did have some good moments in play.
It was Australia's Josip Skoko's last match for that Socceroos as was Graham Arnold's last match in charge. Australia fought bravely but never looked like a real threat to the might of Argentina.
