Nothing like a dose of Pak club football

Here is a 10 min highlights video of the Pakistani Geo Super Football League 2007 final between Islamabad United and Karachi Bazigar.

Comparing it to what I have seen around the world: hilariously mediocre defending and finishing

But good to see a sizeable crowd watching some domestic football, even domestic cricket doesnt attract much attention

But hey, its a good incentive as this was the first time club football was telecast on national television back home.

                Absolutely

Last time we played them back in June/July 2005, we thrashed them 3-0 at Punjab Stadium in Lahore

Although, India are a much better football side than us in terms of tactics, organisation and stuff. Their recent results have shown winning the Nehru Cup that included beating Syria in the final 1-0 how much they have improved their tactics and style of play.

All South Asian teams however lack a physical approach and are hence always easily outmuscled by Mid-East sides.

dont take this the wrong way but you could play that thursday nights on tv instead of mock the week and get the same amount of laughs.

Why is pakistan a relatively weak side in terms of soccer (football)? The country is in the same region as Iran and other mideast countries (which are on the same level, more or less)...with the same exposure to soccer, yet pakistans team is very under developed? Is it because you guys dedicate too much time to your best sport, cricket? ...and India is getting up there, the WC promoted soccer in that country big time, there was even a segment on CNN about it.

What was the attendance for this match?
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

i assume around 20,000+ (free entry too ) as the Peoples Stadium Karachi has a 40,000 capacity.

Wow for a league game that's impressive in Pakistan or most countries for that matter. Although probably the free factor played a role in it.
