Oh come on now you're not being fair. CR7 is a changed bloke and he has refrained from diving for the past 1-2 seasons. Hell against Everton, he was legit fouled but the c*nt arse ref booked him for a 'dive' when them blue scousers started screaming.

I guess diving is a culture in some parts of europe

          Half time and still 0-0

Really slow start by both sides, although it became just a little intense in the final 10 or so minutes but not enough to really trouble the keepers.

          Though VDS' save

If Van Der Sar is making saves-does that mean Man U is being smashed and Sporting keep attacking?
btw. i am watching Barca-Lyon, great match

Just one super save, all the rest have been really lame long shots straight to VDS

But yeah, United are playing rather poorly, but Sporting aint no dream team either

oh and 2nd half on. the pitch is ridiculously bad with divots and uprooted grass patches everywhere.

Sporting made a change, Vukčević (in) - Izmailov (out)

Good chance for United in 57th min, great run and cross by CR7, Giggs header is off target.

Much better second half, but United still a bit poor. Vidic and Rio doing the hard work in breaking down Sporting's attacks.

I agree, really skinny I must say. I guess since Portuguese League relies a lot on technical side of football, they arent physical enough.

                              Rooney off Saha on
                              Giggs off Anderson on

Not surprising Sporting fans booing Anderson, as he used to play for Porto
