Both of them are not Penalty takers, in case of reflexes and influence I say Buffon is far better.

vandersar is actaully just a bit above average not too great. i would say cech hes just soo tall and always blocks everything. i havent seen buffon play as much and this is why im picking cech.

but van der sar is the best, manchester won the league last year, which is something i didnt see buffon or cech doing last year..
You do know that he was criticized for a lot goals last season?

Also Buffon was playing in Italy's second division last year.

A few weeks ago Agil Etemadi was playing for a Dutch amateur side when SC Heerenveen had a friendly match against that club, the amateur club was missing a GK so Etemadi went to play for them as a GK, Heerenveen scored about 10 goals even though Etemadi was the best player of the losing side.

So you can't say that just because that team did better the GK must be better too.

Cech was never QUITE the same after the head injury - that kind of thing has a lasting psychological effect that the player himself (and anyone else) will probably never be aware of. But there will always be that mili-second, during which he thinks: 'if i dive, will i get hurt?'. Often there is only a mili-second between a goal and a save, so you see the problem.... he doesnt even know he's thinking it, i bet...

He collects the balls that most (99%) of keepers just try to punch away.

the man positions himself so well and he makes it look easy.

Moral = don't crack your head against a goal post, go unconscious, almost die, then go back to the same profession that brought about the injury
