Berlusconi: KAKA IS NOT FOR SALE!

    Berlusconi Revisits Kaka Sale Issue

In an interview with Spanish sports daily Marca, AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi wearily restated that prized asset Kaka is going nowhere...

AC Milan supremo Silvio Berlusconi has once again claimed that there is no chance of Kaka leaving the San Siro.

The star midfielder has been plagued by speculation since the summer and even before, but the club president has attempted once more to put a stop to such rumours.

"The prospect of Kaka being signed by Real Madrid never existed," he told Spanish sports daily Marca.

"He never wanted to leave Milan, and I do not believe that he will ever do so, nor even want to.

"Kaka is the symbol of Milan."

Some sources claimed that a swap deal for fellow Brazilian Ronaldinho at Barcelona was in the pipeline, but Berlusconi was quick to laugh off these suggestions previously.

Nonetheless, the outspoken boss is fascinated by 'Dinho's talents, and once again confirmed that "when Barcleona make Ronaldinho available" he would try to sign him.

Given that this was an interview with a Spanish publication, Berlusconi touched on Real Madrid, last season's Liga champions and current Champions League competitors.

"Both [Milan and Madrid] are great clubs in the history of soccer," he began.

"But Milan, in recent years, has been able to match the greatness and the legend of Real Madrid."

Controversially, Berlusconi went on to recommend former Spanish prime minister Jose Maria Aznar for the Real Madrid club presidency, should Ramon Calderon vacate the post in future.

Himself a politician, Berlusconi enthused, "Aznar has shown great personality, charisma and political sense.

"If he decided to run for Real Madrid president, he'd be sure to win. And he'd do just as well as when he governed Spain."

Berlusconi, the former Italian prime minister, has controlled AC Milan since 1986.
