    Iranian in NBA?

Iran's Haddadi to play in NBA
    Sat, 13 Oct 2007 20:25:44
Haddadi scored most points in Asian Games.
Iranian national basketball player, Hamed Haddadi says he has received several letters from NBA teams inviting him to play for them.

"Several NBA (National Basketball Association in USA) teams have sent me letters inviting me to play for them," said Haddadi in an interview on Saturday.

"The talent of Iranian players has come to be known after our team secured a berth as one of the 12 teams to play in the Olympic Games," he added.

Haddadi said he would probably start playing for the NBA after the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Pretty cool if you ask me, even the development league would be a great start for him.

when? i remember he came to US couple of years ago to practice but he didn't know the game too well. He only started playing at 14 and he's like 20 now, so he hasn't played much.

I doubt if they gave Hadadi offers to play, they probably invited him to practice and THEN they'll decide if they want him. They dont just buy players without testing them first. Asian basketball is different than US.

Yeah I agree, he will probably go to tryouts or something. I think a league in Europe would suit him better. And europe has good teams aswell.

Btw Zamboor, yes he is the guy that scored from half the court
