          Debut defeat
Norway's legendary soccer coach Egil "Drillo" Olsen has begun his stint as Iraq's national football trainer, and realizes he has a lot to do.

Expectations are high after Iraq's victory in the Asian championship and Olsen has been hired in to help the squad qualify for the World Cup.

Iraq went down to a 3-2 training loss to Qatar on Tuesday, but despite being surprised by how far his new wards are from his own football philosophy, he found reasons for optimism before his first major test.

"It's a bit of a different world. They take big risks with the ball. One of the goals against came after we lose the ball in midfield in a situation a Norwegian player would probably have just knocked it away," said Olsen, who also watched his men fail to score after two massive chances with only the keeper to beat in the second half.

"I think we won 7-5 in goal chances and ours were bigger. But it is the Pakistan match (for World Cup qualification at the end of the month) that is most important. I hope to have a video of Iraq's 2006 match against Pakistan. I have been promised it, but don't dare say more than there is a good chance I will get it," said 'Drillo', who is still getting used to life as Iraq trainer.

"Few things are certain here. Things get changed and moved all the time," he said.

Drillo became a national sporting legend when he transformed Norway's traditionally unsuccessful football squad, qualifying for two consecutive World Cups and even rising as high as second on the FIFA global ranking list in the 1990s.

If I may recall, last time we played against Iraq in any level of football was for the 1998 WC qualifiers in which our bhookee nangee team was hammered
