All I know is that my Lakers are probalby going to suck a$$ again this year as well. I'm expecting them to make it to the playoffs and get elliminated in the first round, and that would actually surpass my expectations. They coudn't even beat Houston in their own home and tehy are not evne considered in a top four team in the west. Although, they will be a much better team offensively because Rick Addleman loves to have his teams launch 3 pointers. They killed us beyond the ark last night and that was the X factor in the game. All we needed was for just one of those three pointers to not go in.

Anyways as for the whole KOBE saga here is what I would do if I were Dr. Jerry Buss. I would lock Kobe in a room and have a long talk with him until he is happy and signs a contract extension. I would have food ordered in and have two big men guarding the door.

I would listen to Kobe's complaints and do everything in my power to assure him that next year a super star will come to Los Angeles. I would take that risk and force Kobe to play this year.

Chicago is not willing to give up Dang which is why this would be a stupid trade of the Lakers. Dallas is not willing to give up Dirk so that would be a stupid trade.

You run the risk of Kobe leaving next year but you do your best to sign a super star. I atually AGREE WITH KOBE BRYANT the Managemt are morons including the grand marshall Jimmy Buss.

I am just angry abou tthe way Kobe went about it and made this whole thing public. Kobe shot himself in the foot because KG was considering comming to LA. He has a home in Malibu but KG decided to go to Boston because of Kobe's comments about Management and also Andrew Bynum. Kobe indirectly influenced KG to go to Boston. Of course Ray Allen and Paul Pierce are nice perks as well.

Teams who are hot in the west
              Mavs
              Suns
              Spurs
              Rockets
              Nuggets

              Teams who are not
              Lakers
              Clippers
The Blazers lol pass da blunt
              Kings

              lol those are my picks

You are not going to get equal value if you trade for Kobe. Now only the Chicago Bulls and Maverics are in the running. The Bulls are not willing to give up Dang which will kill any deal. The Maverics are not willing to give up Dirk straight up for Kobe.

Imagine for a second you trade Kobe and get ***k Hinrik(SP) Ben Wallace, and say Jo Kim Noah(their draft pick). This is what Chicago is offering for Kobe Bryant.

1 ***k Hinrik(sp?) is an average player at best.
2 Ben Wallace is good defensively but he has a big contract and he is an offensive liability. He might be good on the defensive side of the ball but the guy can't shoot free throws.
3 Jo Kim Noah is an unproven draft pick.

Kobe has still a good three or four years of good basketball in him left. He is only 29 years old and four years from now he will be 32. Nobody is more well conditioned than Kobe Bryant.

With all of that said here is what you do. You try to sign an unrestricted free agent next year which will elevate your team to the next level. You sign that player to intice Kobe Bryant to stay on the team. I can see Kobe's frustration because Buss promised Kobe two years ago that they would bring in another star player. I hardly consider Vladmir Radmonovich and Kawmie Brown star players.

I was in a debate with my friends and we were talking about Tracy McGrady. I said that Tracy McGrady is basically the Alex Rodriguez of basketball because he is a great regular season player, but he CHOKES in the playoffs.

*There is no doubt that T-Mac can light it up on the scoreboard but he can't play a lick of defense ,and he is injury prone. I believe he tore both his ACL and his MCL.

The main point I bring up is that Tracy McGrady never even made it ot the 2ND ROUND! That speaks volumes about you if none of your teams made it past the first round of the playoffs. I can understand if you haven't won an NBA final yet because that is very hard to do, but I woudl at least expect a playoff VICTORY agianst ONE TEAM.

i agree with you on kobe i think he has more then 3-4 years left in him, i mean come on the dude is 29 and you are right he is in GREAT shape. i think best player in NBA hands down. but his time is up in LA that's what i meant. even if they bring a star player to LA still aint going to be the LA from 2000 till like 2004. i think it's time to move on for the lakers and bring another youngster and build around him. kobe is a little stubborn man, look what he did when they had shaq just imagine if they bring in two or three other superstars he is going to be whining like a baby.
