Typical Iranian mentailty just because you disagree with me all of a sudden I have NO CREEDIBILITY. If I don't have any creedibility in your eyes we shoudn't even debate.

Kobe is not a ball hog? What else do you call someone who leads the NBA back to back in scoring titles? Someone who PASSES THE BALL?

Just because I didn't know that Shaq wrote that in his documentary that doesn't give you the right to say I have no creedibility. I"m pissed off at Kobe because after all this the Benedict Arnold still wants to be traded. Everyone knows that Kobe is a selfish player and all he cares about is #1. Look man I"m not going to disagree with you on the fact that Kobe is a great player. In fact I think he is a first team all NBA, and he should be considered for the MVP every year.

The thing is taht basketball, more than any other sport, is a TEAM GAME and the name in front of the jersey is more important than the name on the back of it. Kobe has stated numbeous tims that he wants out of Los Angeles. Look if your star employee is not happy, as MANAGEMENT you should get rid of him.

Sure if we get rid of Kobe we might suck for a year or two but then we well get some good draft picks, and we will get SOMETHING in return. Kobe is going to opt out next year, YOU ARE BLIND if you don't see that. it is better to get something in return intead of waiting and getting NOTHING NEXT YEAR

If you don't like those arguments here are some more for you. I am mad at Kobe at the way he has been handling this whole situation in the off season. Even KG admitted that a big factor into him picking Boston was Kobe's comments about how incompotent the Management is. Kobe went public with this which was very selfish of him.

1-Jerry Buss tried to make things right between him and Kobe by flying to Spain over the summer to talk to him. Kobe repays Jerry Buss by giving him the cols shoulder.

2-Kobe blasts other Lakers like Andrew Bynum and he doesn't even apologize to him. Boy way to be such a team player building up a 20 year old's confidence by calling him soft.

3-Kobe goes on an on about how incompotent management is and that influenced KG not to come to LA. He basically contradicted himself right there because first he said that he wanst A SUPER STAR. When a super star is thinking about comming to Los Angeles, he basically screws it up by calling out management.

        WHAT AN UNSELFISH "TEAM PLAYER"!

So you dont like him, why do you want him to stay?? Kobe is the most misunderstood player in the history of sports.

Andrew bynum situation: He never said bynum is a bad player. He was pissed at managment for not taking kidd over bynum. whats wrong with that?? He still believes it and andrew bynum himself said he understands kobe and he understands how he wanted a veteran hall of famer because he wants to win NOW not 5 years from now when (and if) bynum is ready.

He never said KG shouldnt come to the lakers. What he said about management was true and KG belived him which means KObes credibility is higher than jerry buss. But that is besides the point. The wolves said the lakers didnt have an attractive package to get in return for KG. Also it was the whole kevin mchale/danny ainge connection and the anti laker thing helped. At no point the lakers where close to gettin KG.

AS for the off season comments. Thst the keyword: OFFSEASON. He never said anything during season to distract the team unlike stupid buss who opened his mouth in training camp. Its the media and fans who are talking about it. The last time KOBE said anything about "trade me" was in june. Eversince then he hasnt said anything. NOTHING.

When you sau FU kobe and give me make belief stories about how his teamates were pissed b/c he took those 3 pointers in utah, ofcourse that takes away the credibility from your point of view. Where did you bring that from??? Iranian, cambodian, american whatever mentality it is when your stories are not true there is no validity to resulting point. AS a fan I want the players to give it a 100% and not be happy with just scoring championships. If kobe was selfish he would have been ahppy with getting scoring milestones but is he happy? NO. Because he wants to win a championship and that is where the WE factor comes in not the ME factor.

I ahve been a laker fan since 8th grade when I was in Iran but I cant stand them right now because of BUSS Sr. and Jr. He hasnt done crap without jerrywest. He is wasting Kobe's best years on first round playoff exits. He should have gotton better players in return for trading shaq. It wasnt just shaq who left. It was everyone else because they were all old and grey except derek fisher

              Persianbruin jaan,

I don't hate Kobe but sometimes I get mad at his antics. I lived in the So Ca area all of my life so I was a Laker fan even back in the Showtime era with Magic, Kooper, Worthy, Byron Scott(sp?), Kurt Rambus, and Kareem-Abdul Japar. Now that WAS A TEAM! I also was a fan when they ahd Nick V and Cedric Cebalos as their main guys.Anyways my friend I WOULD LOVE TO CONTINUE THIS DEBATE, but this is a COLLEGE BASKETBALL forum, so let's keep this college basketball related. Now listen we might have a difference in opinions, but I still respect you because you BLEED PURPLE AND GOLD JUST LIKE ME.

As for Sam that is a HUGE BLOW for USC because they were depending on OJ Mayo to take USC to the next level. Tim Floyd did a great job rebuilding USC back to a basketball top 25 team, but that is not going to hlep them out one bit.

Is he out for the entire year or just like part of the year because of his age?

I heard he's out until next year, I'll get back to u on it. Our incoming class I think is still pretty good so we can get a respectable position.

I was watching the lakers so I missed kevin love's kickass game. BTW for all the SC fans who wish love went there, now there is a pic of what he would have looked like in an SC jersey, here:
