God, I cant understand it, why why does maryland lose to sorry ass teams like VCU year in year out?

by the way UMD got picked for the Emerald Bowl against Oregon State. Does nyone know how good OSU is?

I am glad that makes you happy!! bball is different. You can lose early in the season and its all good. But seriously ucla gave up a 17-0 run in the first half and even though they lead by 4 in the last minutes they needed a wakeup call.

Just trash talking bro . I saw that cameroonian guy mbah a moote or wtv his name is had a 3 point shot in the very last second and narrowly missed it so that was unlucky.

the worst part and I am happy about it in the long run is that howland learned he cant have LOVE on the bench for the last 2 minutes from now on. He couldnt get him in cuz they were out of timeouts and as a result there was nobody to box out the guy who had the winning dunk. Live and learn!
I am impressed about the hype of the game though. It overlapped with the lakers and denzel washington picked this game to attend!

The irony is that you guys beat texas in the tourny last year and we beat kansas in the tourny, now that the matchups reversed both lost in a nail biter. We'll get'em later!!

Thank God we are going to pay Texas in Auburn Hills, where the Detroit Pistions play(which is practially a home game for us). I still like the Brezlin center because the Izzone goes nuts in that building. It's going to be a tough game but I think State beats Texas again just like last year.

UCLA and Texas put on a great show Sunday night at Pauley. Both teams should meet again....in the Final Four.

Persianbruin talked about all the NBA scouts in attendance, but what about all the stars in the crowd? The ones I ran into were:

                  Denzel Washington
                  John Lithgow
                  Jerry Bruckheimer
Jaleel White (aka Steve Urkel!) (LOL- he's a '01 grad)

I can't wait until the renovations come to Pauley Pavillion. It's so desperately needed -- particularly around the lower rim where the bleachers are.

I hate to say it, but for now: Galen Center > Pauley Pavillion.

Thanks for stating the obvious!! Ofcourse any newly built stadium is better than one which was built decades ago!!!!!!!! Granted I havent been to pauley since baron davis and earl watson were playin, but pauley radiates tradition and looking at those 11 banners gives you goosebumps.

Are you sure jaleel white is class of 01??? That doesnt make sense. I played basketball with him on the courts which are dorms now in 1995 and he was a student back then. He used to drive a purple suped up Acura NSX. Funny thing is I didnt ealize who he was until the end of our game!!

Shit, we lost in overtime to memphis. If Hackett had scored his second freethrow we would've won..

Well I'm glad we can at least keep up with the top teams. Both our losses to top 4 teams have been in the last seconds

SC seems like a pretty legit team, I am just hoping Mayo keeps up with the ball hoggin!!! Its just a shame that both of your coaches in football and bball are prime time as.holes with Carroll being the clear leader in american sports. Whatever happened to winning with grace and dignity??

Kobe in a 48 minute pro game takes 20 shots a game, maybe even less. OJ in a 40 minute college game takes the same # of shots

Wow watching Memphis is like watching an And 1 team. I guess John Chaney should of kicked Calipari's a$$. lol Seriously it's like watching a street ball team with no real set plays. Memphis the #2 team in teh country my a$$. Oh and in case you missed the famous Chaney Calipari fight here you go.

                                http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51-4sJTf7iQ

On another note my MSU Spartans just squeaked by a very tough Bradley team on the road. FYI fellas Bradley made it to the sweet 16. It get's tougher because the Spartans get to travel to Provo to face #20 BYU and back to Auburn Hills MI(where the Pistions play) to take on #5 Texas. Now these two games will be a great test for the Spartans but I think I am more worried about BYU away because State is VERY TOUGH to beat at home. They have now 32 non conference wins in a row at home which is somewhere in the top 5.
