I actually like the Georgetown Hoyas they are my favorite Big East team. Of course I am betting on the Michigan State pony to win the race. We should roll into the Big 10 I expect one or two losses here and there, but MSU should dominate the Big 10 and at least get a #2 seeding. I think they have the goods to make it to the final 4. Our only blemish was that 10 point lead we CHOKED against UCLA. Well at least we saved some face and beat #20 BYU in Utah, #24 NC State at home and #4 Texas in our own backyard. That is three quality wins which should boost our S.O.S(Strength of Schedule).

my fellow, the hoyas are but a mere aberration. In 2 yrs all will be forgotten and they will take their place as either the #2 or #3 college bball team in the DC area. Watch the Terps shall return to the rightful spot as THE washington area team.

I think we should keep this thread alive for the college bb season. Come on fellas what do you say? I know we got lot of dedicated college basketball fans like yours truly, Persian Bruin, Shahouman, MoJo jaan etc and the rest of the gang.

Anyways I would still love to rap about college basketball and American sports with you guys. Well to start this wacky week off MSU LOST AT IOWA SCORING ONLY 36 POINGS. They won their previous two at home barely against Minnesota and Purdue.

Now on Tuesday we play a middle of the pack big 10 team Ohio State(NO OFFENSE SHAHOUMAN I"m going by this years reccord), and they struggle to win 66-0. It was disappointing to watch MSU blow a 23 point lead down to 6 poings but a W is a W. Now currently the Big 10 standings
1-Indiana
1-Wisconsin
3-Michigan ST
4-?

On to PAC TEN BALL- Big ups to UCLA pounding a very tough Washington State team. I know the Washington State coach because he was Wisconsin's coach for a long time. He took Wisconsin to the final 4 back in 2000 with a very defensive style, the same one you see Washington St use.

They(THE COUGS) like to force you to take a lot of jump shots, and they don't allow penetration. UCLA finally got it right and went to the big man Kevin Love and that was the difference in the game. It just seemed like from the jump ball, Washington state was intimidated.

Well MSU and UCLA wins its all good man.

y0 man, im not too big of a bball fan anymore, i used to be in college, i went to every home game, facepainted (check out my "PFDC Hunk" pics and u'll see), crazy, loud and all....hell i was even on sportscenter once!!! AND i was voted 2003 fan of the YEAR!! (all expense paid trip including airfare, hotel and game tickets to big 10 tourney....and i couldnt mother fkn go cuz i had a g0ddamn fkn pathology final )

well after that our fans started bein lil btches, tellin my boy and i to sit down, quiet down, they couldnt see, blah blah and we're like wtf??? so ever since then we lost all interest and im like eh, wutever....

but i'll always root em on, just to cheer for my Bucks!

when we say go bucks, in soem cases it really means go buck$, it's sad, u see people sittin courtside making a fkng scarf and drinkin coffee, not even payin attention to the game!! man, it's so stupid how they started pullin that shit....and dont get me started on wut they do during tv timeouts, fkn dumb, it's like family entertainment n shit, kiss cam n other shit, playing songs from ESPN JockJams from back in fkn 97

one time we were leaving and we kinda snuck into the VIP area and went to the bathroom there and who was in there? the AD at the time (andy geiger) and i go up to hima nd im like "uh yeh andy, i gotta talk to u about the music selection we got goin on here...it's pretty wack if u ask me" he told me to email the somethin somethin committee hehe

but to answer ur q, it was for 2002-2003 bball season fan of the yr....every game they'd hav a fan of the game, and for the 2-3 seasons before i'd barely lose everytime (one time i was up against a chick...i had the fkn BAND cheering for me and they still chose the cute blonde....i guess i cant blame em lol) but this time i had won, so for fan of the yr we split up all the fan of the game winners at halftime on the court into 2 groups and had a relay race on tricycles lol, then my team won and we had to make paper airplanes and the one to get closest to a cardboard lifesize Brutus would win, well the other 2 people thought they'd be slick and made like a balled up piece of paper or some shit that went nowhere and i toooooook my tiiiiiiiiime and had 20,000 people waitin on me and threw my plane which STARTED TO COME BACK but luckily landed where i was close enough and won

maaaaaaaaan i was runnin all around the court and celebratin lol, it was funny as fk.....some gr8 times man, i got facepain on brutus once and the next game he slapped me in the ass w/ a towel lol, i've had referees simply shake their heads when they see me lol, i've had the camera on me before and the commentator stating "can u imagine having an intelligent conversation w/ this guy?" , i harassed the hell out of Illinois fans after we rushed the court (did a little dance w/ a OSU towel....lol)

crazy, crazy times....all sober btw lol

and then these spoiled fks wanna come in and tell us to quiet down, or cry that my boy's in the wrong seat for the few minutes he was there, wtf....

At places where the b ball court is rockin like Duke, New Mexico, Michigan State, Illinois, Kansas etc they have the college fans in front. They make all the noise but you pay a price because you sell the good seats cheap to the students. AT MSU there is a lower bowl section and an upper bowl section. The Lower bowl is for IZZONE only, kind of like how Duke has it set up with the Camroon Crazies(SP).

Now the starbucks coffee drinkers can sit in the less desirable sections and watch the game, while drinking their $5 moca late. That is the way it should be the good seats should go to the students not the big wigs.

Maryland has this new stadium Comcast Center built like 4 yrs ago. It has destroyed the atmosphere that used to be so feared about MD in the ACC. We used play in this building called Cole Field House and the intensity and atmosphere was amazing. But now that we play in a "corporate" stadium we cant even get a regular decibal level during the games. Tack that onto a rule about when u can stand up during games, what chants we can and cant say then u can see it is all lost. I fvckin hate it, where has my uni taken us? Its obvious all they want is money

someone in the student section once brought hundreds of pieces of pink paper for free throws when the opposing team was shooting....well the ushers said we couldnt do it and took em all, stupid! takes away from the atmosphere
