    Cote D' Ivoire rocks!

They just hammered Qatar 6-1 in a friendly in Dohan.

All their stars were their although Drogba didn't play.

Great performance by Kalou, A. Kone, Toure Yaya and the rest of the team really.

They play with such fluency and skill.

They will surely be a force to look out for in south afruca 2010 no doubt.

No matter how many foreigners the Qatari FA bribes and then fast-tracks them into the national team by giving them citizenship, they will ALWAYS remain a somewhat side in Asia because despite football's popularity, the money tends to make the players feel content in their average league and clubs rather than work hard, impress and go for Europe.

Same goes for all small GCC sides in the region who try this approach. At least the Saudis are still sticking with their home-grown talent like its the last thing they have after oil.

See how strong African football is? And we struggle with these measly Gulf sides
while they thrash them. If Africa had the same funding and development as developed nations, such as in Europe, it would not surprise me if they became the strongest footballing continent in the world. Even the best sides in the world
have players of African descent on their teams. Just look at France, Brazil, and
                others.

africans are mostly black. blacks have the best natural athletic bodies. so it makes sense. thats why all these black strikers/defensive mids who get some skills become some of the best players in the world.

Qatar's last 10 matches against African teams... The only one they've managed to beat was Libya at home. Notice nearly every match was at home:

                          Qatar 1:6 Cote d'Ivoire
                          Qatar 2:0 Libya
                          Qatar 0:5 Egypt (GENEVA)
                          Libya 1:0 Qatar (ROME)
                          Egypt 6:0 Qatar
                          Qatar 2:2 Egypt
                          Qatar 0:1 Egypt
                          Qatar 2:2 Burkina Faso
                          Qatar 2:1 Libya
                          Qatar 1:1 Sudan

                          combined: Qatar 10:25 Africa
