Which is more fun, Football or Futsal ?

I have been talking about this for some time now and wanted to see what you guys think.

Obviously futsal does not have the exxposure of football and some people may not even know what it is.

But I think that futsal is one of the most underated sports on the planet.

I think that it should be an olympic sport instead of all the other rubbish olypic sports that already exist like baseball, shooting etc..

Now remember the question is which is more fun as in to play, not which is better!

Anyone that's played futsal will probably tell you futsal is more fun, but it's also more tiring.

straight up...futsal. When i was in iran i was watching like the african futsal champions league or something like that...first time ever watching it live, and it was sooo entertaining i couldnt believe it. I think if enough money is invested in it in the U.S. it could become a major sport

For me it's football by a mile. Futsal is too limited in terms of space and use of the air. It's a totally different game.

The problem I find with football is that the enjoyment of the game really depends on the quality of the field that you play on.

For instance the quality and thiness of the grass, how straight the ground is etc.

Whereas in futsal the field always remain the same and all it needs is a little bit of sweeping. Which accounts for more consistant play. That is why in futsal the better team wins most of the time. Another advantage futsal has is that you are not always reliant on the weather, you can play comfortably come rain hail or shine.

Also futsal is faster therefore you get more of the ball; there is more action . In football you can go 10 minutes or more without the ball!

But I think that the problem you have is that your too big for the game and you lack the quick foot skills that futsal demands which is why you find football easier.

Futsal no doubt.. way more touches and a lot less pointless running.
But it's not as engaging to watch as football unless they involve very skillful teams.

lol you deduced all that because my opinion is different from yours? I never said I find football "easier." If futsal was so much better, a lot more people would be playing it than football. I enjoy how much more room football offers for intelligence and creativity. The options are endless. Thankfully, I have the ball skills to move through tight quarters, and the vision to bend perfectly-weighted through-balls down the opposite wing. And you're right, luckily I'm tall enough to utilize the air just as well. Perhaps you find futsal easier because you lack the tools required to enjoy real football to its fullest.

As for fields, I'm lucky enough to play in the U.S. on some pretty immaculate pitches, so that may have something to do with it. I'm sure many kids in Cairo and Tehran with no place to play outside are accustomed to and prefer the closed-quarters style of futsal. And as far as weather is concerned, I love playing in sleet, snow, and rain just as much as I do under blue skies.

                    Football by far!

Football is not fun to watch if you're not a fan or if its not famous teams playing but you can watch most Futsal games and still be entertained.

the reason I thought you don't enjoy futsal as much is becasue you said that the futsal field is too limited in space and as someone who plays futsal I know that you need to be very skilled and quick in able to do things in a futsal field. And so futsal requires higher levels of creatvity and intelligence as you have less time to work with the ball and less space therefore you have to make decisions quicker which requires more skill.

Since you say you play on good fields I can understand why you enjoy football more. In Australia there is drought and the football pitches are shithouse to say the least. Even in the city where the most looked after fields are available the field is at best average compared to some parts of the world. There are dirt patches and dry grass apparent. I dont even know why they bother they should just use artificial turf.
So that is why I probably dont enjoy football as much as you because I dont have the privelage of playing on decent fields. Dont be fooled it does have a big impact on the enjoyment of the game!

if u play futsal with people with no skill or very little skill it wont be fun, but if u play futsal with the same level skill as u it is more fun than football, but watching football is 10000000X better than watching futsal the goals look better and u can appreciate the skills more in football

but it really depends on who your watching.

I would rather watch a futsal match between Spain and Brazil than watch a football match between Syria and Bahrain.
