Man Utd Confirm Saudi Trip in the Winter!!!

Man Utd confirm 'winter break' in Saudi Arabia

Manchester United are to visit Saudi Arabia next month for a short 'winter break' Sir Alex Ferguson hopes will aid the Red Devils pursuit of major silverware.

Ferguson has long advocated a mid-season break, believing it would provide players with some much-needed rest after the congested Christmas fixture schedule.

And United's early elimination from the Carling Cup has allowed the Red Devils to take up an invitation from HRH Prince Abdullah bin Mosa'ad bin Abdulaziz Al Sa'ud in Saudi Arabia in mid January.

United will leave immediately after tackling Reading at the Madejski Stadium on January 19, returning before an anticipated appearance in the FA Cup fourth round the following weekend.

In between, they will play an exhibition match against Al Hilal Al Saudi FC in Riyadh on January 21 as part of Sami Al Jaber's testimonial.

Ferguson has confirmed his entire first-team squad will be on the trip and said: 'This is a great chance for the players to escape the harsh realities of winter for a few days, while keeping up their fitness levels and taking in the exhibition match.

'I hope we will come back from this refreshed and ready to continue the challenge for honours.'

    WTF

These meaningless friendly games and tours should only be confined in the off-season period.

I wonder what are they going to sing "I"m dreaming of a Saudi Christmas." Who in the hell takes a "break" in Saudi freaking Arabia? I can understand somewhere like Fiji or Hawaii but Saudi Arabia?

Fiji and Hawaii aren't places where Man Utd will be payed to visit.

"breast fed", when we were younger, in 2003.

but you still need mommy's milk.

                if saudi-manu ever played

it would end in a 2-2 draw

with Yasser and Malek scoring for saudi
and Giggs getting both of manu's goals

                i guarentee this 100%

Knowing Saudis tendency to get scared sh!t and ineffective of even the most average of European sides, United will absolutely demolish Al Hilal something like 4-0 or 5-1

I wonder how much the saudis will be paying ManU not to beat them 8-0.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

more than they payed Germany in WC2002

(cause the legitimate goal of Carsten Jancker was called offside, so it should have been 9:0 back then)
