There isn't THE best coach, there are a lot of great coaches.

Scolari isn't THE best because he has led the most talented set of players from Brazil and Portugal to trophies, not exactly the greatest challenge for a coach ever.

                  ^^ Well u do have a point.
Avram Grant is managing Chelsea and has had a great record so far, but Avram Grant has had no experience at such a big club.
                  The players r just good.

                    exactly...

It's just a matter of time before something goes wrong in the club and then Grant will be left wondering "what would Mourinho do?"

                            1. Rinus Michels.
The Dutchman, who died in 2005, was named coach of the century by FIFA in 1999. For once, that organisation knew what it was doing. The originator of Total Football, Michels won the European Cup with Ajax, the Spanish league with Barcelona and Euro 88 with Holland. He should also have won the 1974 World Cup. What's more, you would have paid Wembley prices to watch his teams.

thats right and that is why I said Guus , what other coaches would have been able to guide s.korea to 4th place in a WC and Australia to 2nd round.

Regarding Chelsea with the players at their disposal if a coach is not able to put together some wins then he should just not coach at all!
