Akram will not be a regular player, probably reservist at best. Ando doesnt get any playing time at all and hes atleast more proven then Akram is.

in my books, nashat akram is overall a better player than ando..unfortunately
besides, each team has its own situation and so do their players. just because ando is a better player (assuming) and didnt make it in bolton doesnt mean nashat akram wont be able to make it in man city..
afterall, sven goran chose nashat akram himself, but ando wasnt chosen by this megson coach of his.

Akram, like Ando, was an unknown until he had a good tournament. Then he was able to forage a tryout in the EPL and did enough to impress apperantly. I still think that when it comes to game time, he will fail in the EPL. He doesnt have the stamina, speed, and experience Ando has, and Ando barely gets playing time on a relegation-bound team. Akram is DOA.

actually nashat akram was quite well known even before the tournament cos of ACL, but yes, that was mostly restricted to middle east. now he has got more exposure, which i think he deserves.
he might not have andos stamina, but im not sure about speed or experience. experience, if ur talking about national team, the 2 have more or less the same number of caps for their national team. however, ando has played for worldcup, nashat akram for ACL and 2 more stages of asian cup.
in speed, i think they are more or less the same speed.
however, nashat akram has great creativity, ball control, intelligence and vision, much more than ando. also a better physique and good freekicks gives him an advantage.
anywayz, good luck to both of them. their success only means more of asian football specially middle east football exposed to the rest of the world which is wat we need now.

man city just bought Castillo, that mexican guy who scored a nice goal against Brazil in the Copa America, from shaktar donestk...
they know what they are doing, so to say these Iraqi players aren't up to the level of talent is wrong. The Worker-communist Party of Iran (WPI)

Couldn't find this news elsewhere on the forum, so here it is:
Nashat Akram claims to have signed a 2.5 year deal with Man City. He is finalizing the deal with Al-Ain, and waiting for a work permit, which he should have no trouble getting.
