I just saw that my neighbour is part of that squad .

By the way KC, yes, you could probably put it that way for both sides.

You mean Sweden's selection is also an MLS all star team?
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

Do you see any Swedish players that play in MLS clubs in the squad list above?
        Of course not.

Come on Ken, you're a big boy, you know what I meant. It's basically 2 allstar teams from 2 different countries that face eachother.

Ok, the US is playing some of its All Stars from the MLS, and Sweden is playing its "B" team with players from the Allsvenskan.

My cousin (who is a professional football player in Sweden) said that Sweden would never send their real squad at this time due to international club play. When I went to the Home Depot Center to watch Sweden vs. South Korea (1-1), barely any of the good players were played. And by the way, that match sucked! There were only like 50 Sweden fans in the whole stadium total, and the rest were all Koreans.

Sweden coach extends contract to 2010
                  Associated Press
                  Updated: January 4, 2008, 7:44 AM EST

STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) - Sweden coach Lars Lagerback has extended his contract to 2010, the Swedish Football Association said Friday.

Roland Andersson, the team's assistant manager, will also stay for the next two years.

Lagerback has led his team to five straight finals, the association said in a statement.

"Their results are outstanding," said Lars-Ake Lagrell, chairman of the Swedish federation.

Lagerback and Andersson issued a joint comment, saying "it will be a great and amazing challenge to try to bring Sweden to the sixth straight final ... if we qualify for the World Cup in South Africa in 2010.

"We both think it's a fantastically fun job," the statement added.

Isaksson told he can quit City
                    RivalsDM
                    Updated: January 4, 2008, 1:21 PM EST

Goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson has been told he can leave Manchester City by Sven-Goran Eriksson - and is wanted by Turkish giants Galatasaray.

The 26-year-old Swede has been forced to play second fiddle at Eastlands since last month after Eriksson finally plumped for promising youngster Joe Hart as his number one.

The City boss used the first half of the season to experiment with a trio of keepers - Kasper Schmeichel, now on loan at Cardiff, being the third.

But with Hart now established as Eriksson's first choice, Isaksson is free to find a new club this month as he seeks to cement his place in Sweden's squad for next summer's Euro 2008 finals.

"Andreas is extremely professional, he didn't like my decision of course, that's understandable and he's disappointed," said Eriksson.

"But there has not been one bad word, he's working as hard as the others and doing fantastic training.

"If he wants to go, we said okay. If he wants to go I understand it absolutely, so it's totally up to him."

Speculation has linked the former Rennes stopper to Galatasaray, but Eriksson insists there have been no approaches made so far.

"I've heard a lot of rumours from different countries, but so far there has been not one word to the club or me, he added. "I spoke to Andreas on Thursday and asked him if he had a club and he said 'no'."
