    Akram signs with City

thanks to his forgein coach Akram has signed with Man City.

Svens assistent is a good friend of Egil Olsen (Iraq national team coach), and ansked if he think Akram will make it in EPL?

Egil Olsen had no problem recomanding him.

Egil Olsen has tried very hard to get as many Iraqi players as posiblle into European teams by using his big contact network in Europe

Well he is a midfielder, and if his passing vision and movement is great then his 'lack of pace' should not be that much of a problem in Europe - cant say much about the fast Premiership games though.

        But good luck to him

It's about time Iraq sends players to Europe. Younis Mahmoud will hopefully go to France next season as he has declared it's his final season in Qatar. I think France is the most realistic move for Younis because 1. Younis is new to Europe, and France is not the strongest of leagues 2. The Ligue 1 has loads of Middle Eastern/North African players so they have faith in what they can offer 3. There's a much better chance of getting good playing time in Ligue 1.

Inshallah we will see Nashat Akram succeed in Man City and I hope Iraq qualify to the world cup along with our country Iran.
