It’s an Arabic pay TV. They got the exclusive rights to show the tournament on satellite in Arabic countries. The also broadcast to Australia on cable TV via Optus vision and on satellite via MySat
thanks pharaoh jan for the thread.
the ball is SIIIIICK!
i liked ivory coast's wc06 jersies more...
btw pharaoh jan could you please tell me how m. zidan's situation is at your team? thanks a lot
Zidan has been selected in the final 23-man squad for Ghana, while Mido and Hossam Ghaly will be among the notables missing out. He has only participated in one of the warm-up matches so far, the 1-0 win over Mali a few days ago. He actually played behind the two strikers as a playmaker and had a very average game. I think Zidan is best suited as a forward, though our manger was trying to utilize his vision and dribbling. I expect he'll end up starting up-front along with Amr Zaky. The difference in size and style between the two should compliment each other nicely. I'm quite certain Abo Treika (El-Ahly) will be occupying that playmaker's role behind the two strikers.
Egypt plays its final warm-up in about an hour against Angola in Lisbon. I expect Zidan to see a lot of action.
thanx, but i don't think they have that channel on satellite tv here, i just had a look. do you know if they'll have the games on any other channels from other countries?
Inshallah..all the best lil fara3na, will be cheering for you guys.
Hopefully we see you guys with us in the Confederations Cup.
Inshallah, thanks for the support. Too bad winning the 2006 edition didn't earn us a Confederations Cup berth. I'll hope we can repeat. I don't even know when the last time was that a team repeated as ACN champs.
why isn't Mido in Egypts squad?
Ghaly isn't because of lack of playing time?
Mido is fat and out of form (what else is new). Actually he says he's just not "match fit." He keeps suffering from minor lingering leg injuries. Ghaly was practicing with the team and in great form, even scored a cracker of a goal in the top corner against Saudi Arabia recently. He went back to England to facilitate his transfer to Derby County, and he played his first match with them yesterday. I guess our manager agrees it's a bad time for him and it'll be better long term if he can settle with his new club for now.
They're both going to be missed but there are no excuses, guys will have to step up in their absence.
