All great teams are greater than the sum of their parts. It is more than a coach and 11 players, it is a state of mind. Professionalism, work ethic, self confidence, all of these are equally as important as who your coach is, and how talented your players are...

Our problem is the state of mind. Just like England, we think we are the best in the world, and each individual player thinks they are the King and should be the centre of attention...Cappello will fix England, but we have no one to fix us...

      I'm watching marocco right now.

they are strong. they really have a game plan. no surprise as their coach is henry michel.

but iran is so better than them. do you know why?
      its the players.
exept 2-3 players they have no exeptional players. they are a relatively small football country.

a proper iranian team could beat them very well

With this team and no coach, Iran would not get far. Everything going well Iran would do excellent.

African football associations are weak like Iran but the difference is that most african football association know they are still weak and let their mature European base players take the lead and play a more positive role in team organization and have an input in the direction of the team. Iran's IFF is packed with Oghde-ees who want to control everything knowing full well they have no football sense and clue on how to harness the team Melli potential.

first half over. it was a very weak match. it was crap.

both teams did not know what they were doing on the field. they were just fighting for the ball in midfield all the time, with no sense.

I'm sure the 2nd half will be better

Its a new staduim in the coastal town of Sekondi. The area is little bit cooler than others parts of Ghana (relatively speaking)
