His playing percentage was 71% (and if they considered his suspension by the IFA it would be 91%). While Iraq's average FIFA ranking in the past two years was 72 place. He was only 2 places off. However he was Asia's second best player of 2007 and won the Asian Cup. I have seen players getting work permits with less credentials!
Back to playing in the UAE in front of about a hundred spectators, if it's a derby.
Well apart from Saudi Arabia and most GCC Arab countries have shit loads of cash, but an increasingly exhaustive pool of talent and support to rely on in their football. That is why they can huff and puff, naturalise a 3rd division South American or African quicker than you can say 'Ya Abul Fazal' on Ashura, but they can only go so far as to generate a few bubbles on the Asian scene, nothing much beyond that.

Why would they reject him?
I remember Teymourian hadn't played most of his NT games, and Bolton appealed citing Adranik as a special talent, and it went through fine? Actually, countless players from all over the world have been able to get permits in the UK, with most of their credentials not even coming close to Nashat's.
If it was the FIFA ranking issue, then that is extremely harsh because it was a couple of ranks off, and everyone already knows FIFA ranking is ridiculously flawed!
when and why was he suspended by IFA??

But why are Iranians so intent on seeing Iraqis succeed? What's wrong with you people :S. Especially since there aer more than one thread on this. They hate us and you guys are here hoping "God's with him" etc. Would they ever want our players to succeed? They actually want the worst for our players; don't believe me? Get to know some Iraqis in real life and go on their boards. ... Iraqis might be sectarian, but they are united in their hate for Iranians, so get off your "humanitarian" horses. Btw, all the Iranians players mentioned, Navidkia, Nekonaum and Karimi >>>>>> Akram. That's just a fact. Any Iranian worshipping an Iraqi is the traitor of the highest order; so go and try to act Iraqi.
I feel bad for him as a human being cause getting your hopes crushed sucks, but otherwise, I don't give a sh*t, especially for Arabs.
his vision is better than nekounams, his vision is like navidkias..
but nekounam is better defensively and aerially. nashat akram inspite of his good physique both in terms of height and built is poor in the air..
*EDITED* & Warned - movazebe harf zadanet bash - Yashar
I dont need to justify myself to immature ill mannered posters like u.
That sucks, his morale's probably hurt.

To feel compassionate even towards ones enemies is a sign of nobleness and true will-power. Showing respect to others is of highest importance. If you show respect to others, others will eventually learn to respect you. Us Iranians can make a great example of this.

some of the posts i have read on this thread make me want to apologize on behalf of all iranians. iraqi members, i hope u realize this is a small immature percentage.
i feel for karimi, and i hope it was for the long term benefit for him to not join city yet.
