    Europian silver medalist to join Iran's track and field team!

    She is from Belarus and has recently married an Iranian runner and has changed her name to Leila Rajabi.

      I guess she is Belarus' equivalence to Behrang Safari .

      I wonder if she is regarded as bi-gheyrat or gay because of her decision...

        She has some very good competitors in Belarus, so she might have difficulty being selected for the national team. I think that is why she is joining Iran's team.

        Her silver medal belongs to one single competition and she is now 4th in Belarus even though her record is a few meters above Iran's (and I think Asian) record.

                      LOL! Me and my Bulgarian friend were watching weightlifting and he was nagging about how there were no Bulgarians in the competition. ALl of a sudden, some Mohammad al poffak (something something) from Qatar enters the competition and the commentators were almost laughing at the fact that this guy was actually Bulgarian!
