no way. i think electing perez is good idea.

our team will take us no where. look at arsenal, we are the arsenal of laliga.
many of our players are empty potential. and some no potential at all.
like snjider will never become as good as beckham or ballack or deco.
Gago should be in a midtable team, he is too slow.
we hav a bunch of players that we never use, like javi garcia, saviola and that guy we got faubert, i have never seen him play since he came.
i read somewhere that we have spent almost the same amount that we did during the the galacticos but back then we got quality over quantity.
and we won the champions league then. when perez was in charge.
also hav u noticed since he left we hav lost our prestige, we were THE club to play for.

with all those stars we won eff all when PEREZ was in charge. when we won 2 ligas and 2 champ leagues credit was all to DEL BOSQUE. with perez power and influence we can have the best team in the world but he simply needs to not be retarded. but i cant trust him with that anymore.

imagine this line up next year:

          --------higuain-----ruud----------
          -marcelo------------------robben-
          ----------diarra----lass-----------
          -new----------------------ramos-
          ---------new--------pepe--------
          --------------casillas-------------

          raul
          guti
          sneijder
          vdv

          we would be unstoppable.

or we could do something similar to brazilian 4-2-2-2:

          ------------------ruud------------
          -------------higuain---------------
          -------sneijder-----------robben---

well he still had the best scoring rate right up to his injury and he has the whole summer to get back in shape. he still has 2 more pichichi contending seasons in him. and with diarra and lass we would control any midfield in the world. and marcelo and higuain can only improve.

ruud is something special, there are no players like him these days.
his still one of the top scorers in the team

ok i forgot about huntelaar. ok there is no way a healthy ruud, raul, higuain, and huntelaar can be on the team. there was no need to get huntelaar in the first place.

robben fills that second striker space perfectly.

                      another mijatovic fail.

what happened with drenthe? after el classico he disappeared. his a decent player. there is always fluctations in him and marcelo's form. when marcelo's form goes down drenthe steps up and takes his postion.

                      miss u roberto carlos!

drenthe got his chance. i know he is still young but i dunno man. maybe he should go on loan and show what he can do consistently.

i think he got huntelaar cuz he was scared of more injuries and assumed robben would be injured for sure.

i dunno man theres no way we can have ruud and huntelaar. i am SURE huntelaar will do good and will score (maybe not as good as ruud but huntelaar will always keep scoring) so maybe we should just sell ruud and get cash. cuz huntelaar can stay with us for years but ruud will have 2 seasons max.

as far as new signings, we definitely need to sell heinze and canna and get GOOD replacements. and we also need another decent winger (if faubert cant cut it which seems to be the case). thats it. we dont need any more attacking players.

VDV has to go aswell. do u know how much his getting paid?!
sniejder is on thin ice for me. his game is dropping so quickly, gago should only be used when diarra or lass are injured. NEVER START.

Florentino Perez Targeting Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard & Xabi Alonso

The Real Madrid rumour mill is spinning again as reports emerge that the club’s ex-president, who is looking at a possible re-election, has set his sights on the Reds’ midfield dynamic duo…

Real Madrid will install a new president and administration this summer and even though none of the potential candidates have yet to officially submit their candidature, some sections of the Spanish press are not only predicting Florentino Perez will win, but there are already speculations as to who he would sign when he takes office.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka have always been on top of the virtual shopping list and they still are, but now two more names have been added to the mix. And they are none other than Madrid’s Champions League tormentors, Liverpool duo Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso.

A few weeks ago, AS revealed that several of Perez’s close associates had initiated contact with the representatives of Ronaldo and Kaka to ascertain their interest in moving to the Santiago Bernabeu. Now, the paper believes that similar contacts have been made to get in touch with Gerrard and Xabi.

The Reds captain, who will turn 29 in May, the same age Zinedine Zidane left Juventus for the Spanish capital, has long been a target of Perez and one of his sporting directors, Arrigo Sacchi, even recommended his signing.

But the ex-president’s team are fully aware that it will be near impossible to convince Liverpool to sell their star midfielder and even harder persuading the player to leave Anfield. But his team-mate, Xabi, might be a more feasible objective.

Madrid have already twice attempted to sign the 27-year-old. The first was when Perez tried to recruit him from Real Sociedad back in the summer of 2004, when the since-relegated Basque outfit turned down Los Blancos’ €12 million offer before the Merseysiders swooped in for the player with a €17 million bid.

The second attempt came under the Ramon Calderon regime when the current sporting director, Pedja Mijatovic, enquired about a possible transfer in 2006, only to be told by Reds manager Rafa Benitez that the player is irreplaceable.

The door may re-open for Madrid and Perez, should he regain the presidency, as Liverpool had placed Xabi in the transfer market this past summer in a bid to free up some cash to sign Aston Villa’s Gareth Barry. If he remains available this summer, the Merengues could make another move, although they would have to start the bidding at no less than €20 million.

i hope this is a rumour because this is just too much even if it perez.

if perez wins relection the only thing he will help the club with is the finances. the man can sell shirts, but he will destroy a legacy doing it, like he did a few years ago.
