Casillas Celebrates 10 Years In Goal For Real Madrid
The Blanco's stopper is hoping for many successful years ahead...
Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas celebrates ten years between the sticks for Los Merengues today, after making his debut for Real on September 12, 1999, away to Athletic Bilbao.
Since then Casillas has collected four Primera Division medals, three Supercopa triumphs and two Champions League crowns, including a 3-0 win over Valencia in Paris which came four days after his 19th birthday.
He has made 473 appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions and has only missed five league games for the club since 2002, while also being capped 98 times by Spain.
"It is unbelievable that ten years have passed," he told AS.
Casillas' contract at Madrid is set to run out in 2017, by which time he will be 36 years-old, and the stopper wants to make the most of his time, by winning more trophies.
"There have been ups and downs, of course, but vastly more good experiences.. I hope to maintain that winning streak for another seven years, I want to win more titles."

I watched the madrid game until the stream went off and didnt watch the 2nd and 3rd goal.
those who havent watched the game and just look at the scoreline think madrid dominated the game but actually espanyol was so impressive and really should have scored at least 3 but they are so bad infront of goal.
their new stadium is sick as well.

Zurich keeper wasn't a joke, if you actually watched the game you would have seen a few very nice saves from him, but the mistakes he made against Ronaldo almost any keeper would make with the power on those shots swirling in the air. The poor bastard couldn't take a breath the whole game. We got a little lazy after the 3 goals but made up for it.
Kaka is the real attacking spark in the team even though he doesn't score much he creates every attack... Ronaldo is good for a few cheap goals from free kicks/crosses and pressure on the wings... Our offensive line up is sick, we got Higuain, Benzema, Raul, RVN and Granero who will be switched between games regularly and who can score regularly.
In the end we are still a growing/meshing team. The Worker-communist Party of Iran (WPI)

Good game it was thanks to Madrid who let Zurich get into it.
terrible second half by madrid, Im sure it was a combination of both complacency and taking higuin and alonso off. alonso is going to be the key in madrid's success if they're going to have any!
btw any news on alonso's injury?
