for those who dont follow la liga... zamora award goes to best goalkeeper of the season.
Casillas wins the Zamora Trophy
"This award belongs to the whole team; I wouldn't have been able to do it without them"

Iker Casillas won't forget the 2007/08 season in a very long time. Not only has he won the league title with the team, but earned the Zamora Trophy as well, awarded to the least scored upon keeper in the campaign.
What does this title mean to you?
I am very excited about it, but I share it with the rest of the team, who have been fantastic all season. I wouldn't have made it without them.
You've conceded 32 goals this season. Do you consider them to be too many or too few?
No one likes to concede a goal, especially a keeper, but I can't complain about the averages I've earned in the last few years. Real Madrid is mostly an attacking team so everyone should acknowledge the defenders' and the entire team's merit; we all attack and defend at the same time.
Despite being mostly an attacking team, no other side has won as many Zamora Trophies as Real madrid...
That's is quite a striking fact. It is very hard to be the least scored upon keeper at Real Madrid for all the reasons we've already mentioned and several others, such as how intensely concentrated we must all be throughout the entire 90 minutes.
It's been 16 years since a Real Madrid keeper won the Zamora Trophy...
Many years. I think a Real Madrid keeper should always be in the fight for the award, the same as their strikers should be in the fight for the Pichichi.
What does it mean to you to join those legendary keepers?
What can I say? It is a great honour and pride for me. I know how hard they had to fight for a trophy like this. As a keeper and as a Madridista it makes me very proud to join their ranks because they made history at the Club.
