the first game of "miraculous comeback: liga 08/09" was a success. 1-0 over valencia with 11 dangerous chances missed. while they had 3. we SHOULD have scored at least 5 more goals. not could.. SHOULD. no excuse. hit the post twice also. all this and we hardly had possession! i loved our strong defense and offense. so many beautiful through balls and offensive combos, but they were all messed up at the final touch. i dunno maybe its because valencia gave us so much space at the back but still it was impressive.

when we beat villareal they will go below us for good. valencia is only 1 point ahead of us. sevilla has a game in hand so we have to hope they lose sometime. and barca... well if we keep on winning they are bound to lose.

Madrid was owning the first 25 minutes and then valencia took over the tempo and pocession without really posing any real threat to the goal. The red card put the game back in the hands of Madrid. Robben was really impressive, Madrid really needs to work on their finishing, how many chances did you guys have, i think you hit the post like 6 times. valencia had most of the possession but they could not do anything due to our strong defense. so i would say we controlled the game because throughout 90 minutes we kept getting more chances than them. robben is always good but he needs to be less selfish and stop being a jackass. anyways it seems like ramos fixed the defense for good!

that's what i was saying, their possession was useless. i think the way you guys would attack quick and defend caused them to play at a tempo that was unusual and uncomfortable for them so i guess its fair to say that you guys were in control or in charge even with less possession.

the goal was nice, great finish by higuin but during the match he had many good chances he didn't convert.
overall I think Ramos has really changed the abilities of Real to defend as a team and you could see it in the previous 2 matches. That's a good sign!
But still Barca is in another planet
