Ramon Calderon Insulted And Attacked During Festival
The former president was on the receiving end of some very nasty abuse and had to run to avoid more trouble...
Ramon Calderon might have left his post as Real Madrid president, but it is safe to say that fans in Spain have not forgotten about him.
Mediterraneo reports that the former president received abuse from a group of around 20 people at a festival on Thursday and had to run away to avoid been attacked by them.
The story is yet another intriguing incident involving the former president, who resigned last year after reports surfaced that the Assembly had been rigged.
The drama occurred at the Fiestas de La Magdalena in Castellon, a famous event in Spain which Calderon was attending.
The former president was apparently recognised by a group of 20 youths at the party, and they began to hurl abuse at him, saying, among other things, that he had ruined Real Madrid.
The youngsters hounded Calderon whilst insulting him and he was only saved from physical damage by a group called the Colla del Rei Barbut.
They took him to a safe place where he had to hide from his tormentors as they continued to look for him.
The ex-Real Madrid chief came out when he thought the coast was clear, but was spotted once again by the group and they took to the street and continued to insult him, also attacking one of the members of the Colla del Rei Barbut.
Police have not not yet been able to identify any of the aggressors.

Florentino Perez Ready To Assemble Team For Real Madrid Elections – Report
The godfather of the Galacticos era is reportedly on the verge of officially throwing his name into the presidential race…
The Spanish press are waiting with bated breath to see if and when Florentino Perez will formally announce his candidacy for the Real Madrid elections this summer.
All signs have indicated that he will be in the running and Sport believes that he is already busy assembling his own team of glamorous names who will occupy the Santiago Bernabeu boardroom should he be elected.
Having already been through the whole procedure once back in 2000, the construction tycoon is leaving nothing to chance this time and he is meticulously screening all his potential board members to determine who he wants present at his pre-election gathering.
It is believed that he wants to meet first hand all the renowned personalities, socialites, judges and high-profile executives who are fellow Madridistas. However, he is unwilling to invite any of his possible opponents as he wants to avoid another Ramon Calderon, the lawyer whom he invited to his 2000 electoral meeting without really knowing who he was and who later rebelled against Perez.
Almost certain to be on Perez’s side is Zinedine Zidane and Jorge Valdano. The latter is reportedly unlikely to claim the role of sporting director as that position, currently occupied by Predrag Mijatovic, would go to Zidane. Valdano will instead be tasked as an intermediary between the board of directors and the sporting team.
Further up in the boardroom, Juan Miguel Villar Mir, the former treasury minister and ex-Madrid executive, is expected to become Perez’s right-hand man as he is seen as an eminent businessman renowned for reviving collapsed companies. The second chair down will be held by Fernando Fernandez Muniz, a shipping entrepreneur who was present in the 2000 pre-election meeting, while lawyer Eduardo Fernandez Blas will occupy the third seat.
Former Spanish Prime Minister, Jose Maria Aznar, who is not eligible to run for the elections as he does not meet the minimum requirements at the club, has ruled himself out of joining Perez’s board.Last edited by PFS; 03-21-2009, 11:59 PM.I got no time for a signiture
