Sergio Ramos Ditches Real Madrid For Bullfighting Event
Football isn't the only sport on Ramos' mind...
Los Blancos' right-back Sergio Ramos was suspended yesterday evening as his side ground out a narrow 2-0 win against Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabeu. While David Beckham was in the VIP Box enjoying what little entertainment his former team-mates were providing, Sergio Ramos had other plans.
According to Marca, the 'number four' left the stadium at half-time to attend a local bullfighting event in the outs***ts of Madrid. Star matador Alejandro Talavante is known to be good friend with Ramos, and the pair met up at the arena at 18:00.
Ramos then saw his friend battling it out with six rampant bulls, all of whom were thirsty for Talavante's blood. Sergio Ramos was caught on camera in the arena stands, looking silky in his Real Madrid suit.
Real Madrid rules state that every player who is not included in the squad list must be at the stadium for kick-off, but the player is not bound to stay for the whole match. This means that Ramos didn't break any rules, but the player's dedication to the club will no doubt be questioned by the Spanish press over the coming week.
Although Ramos' antics will probably not go down too well with the Madrid hierarchy, it is understandable why he left the boring game at the Bernabeu to attend a much more action-packed bullfighting arena.
