Player Ratings: Real Madrid 4-2 Almeria
Los Merengues fought back in a match that had everything, and Goal.com was on hand to rate the players...
Iker Casillas - 7: Could not do anything about the goals, but did make one excellent save from Uche earlier on.
Sergio Ramos - 6: Lapsed a bit defensively in the second half, but showed his aerial prowess once more with the crucial opener.
Pepe - 6: Seemed to have everything under control in the first half, but was caught napping for the goals.
Raul Albiol - 5: Unlucky to see Almeria's first goal deflect off him, but like his defensive partner, made some poor mistakes in the second half.
Alvaro Arbeloa - 7: The most assured of the defenders, didn't allow any traffic to threaten down his side.
Xabi Alonso - 5: Didn't influence the team going forward too much, but did keep things fairly quiet in midfield.
Esteban Granero - 6: An energetic performance, got himself involved going forward often, but lacked the final touch.
Marcelo - 5: An uninspiring performance, chose the wrong option on most occasions near the box.
Rafael Van der Vaart - 6.5: Started really well, showing signs of his obvious class, but faded completely in the second half.
Cristiano Ronaldo - 5: Did score a goal that it would have been criminal to miss, but showed his petulance after missing the penalty despite Benzema scoring, as well as his late red card.
Gonzalo Higuain - 8: Again showed that he is Madrid's most important attacker, taking his goal brilliantly and setting up the fourth.
Substitutes
Karim Benzema - 7: Did well to be alert after the missed penalty and scored an important goal.
Mahamadou Diarra - N/A
Royston Drenthe - N/A
Almeria
Diego Alves - 7.5: Did let in four, but it could have been 10 if not for his saves. Slightly unfortunate to give away the penalty, which he saved anyway.
Michel Macedo - 6: Most of Madrid's attacks came from the other flank, and he cleared an Albiol header off the line.
Santiago Acasiete - 4: Made a terrible error to hand Higuain the crucial equalizer, and generally looked nervous.
Chico - 5: Put his body on the line often, but ultimately just could not deal with the forwards for the whole 90 minutes.
Domingo Cisma - 5: Allowed a bit too much space down his flank, but got a few decent tackles in as well.
Fernando Soriano - 6: Took his goal well, albeit with the aid of a deflection, and put himself about well after scoring.
Modeste M'Bami - 5: Failed to stop Madrid attacking regularly, even though he made a nuisance of himself.
Hernan Bernardello - 4: A fairly anonymous performance, hardly made an impact going forward.
Juan Ortiz - 6: Full of running down the right, but often lacked a final incisive pass.
Albert Crusat - 7: Never tired and provided an excellent assist for the first goal.
Kalu Uche - 7: Had to play a lone role for most of the night, but took his chance brilliantly when it came.
Substitutes
Henok Goitom - N/A
Pablo Piatti - N/A

can say the same thing about higuain saving ur ass.
zlatan went off in the second and lost the ball many times.
if you actualy saw the game you wouldn't say this shit. barca played so much better it was full strengths team and it showed deportivo didn't have a single chance the whole game their goal came from not even a half chance+valdez and busquest mistakes.
messi missed 2 sitters for his standards but scored 2 wonderful goals.
GRACIAS PEP

its not fatigue in first half it was the best half by barca an should have scored at least 3 we scored 1 then thanks to busquest and vv we concede a childish goal only vv can take that award. its obvious you work so hard yet at the end its just 1-1 because of stupid mistake.
defensively barca was in full control deportivo as I sadi didnt have a single good chance they rarely even got into our box!
plus god thing w finished the game strongly unlike the osasuna and athletic game where we conceded late.
