If something very small happens to Bryant, bye bye Lakers. Boston will win it.

Bro he dislocated his pinkie and then scored 41 next game. So your statement does not apply

As you can see, we are the team with depth. 2 important players in Andrew Bynum and Trevor Ariza are out and yet we're still tearing it apart. Boston lost Garnett and their vulnerability started to show straight away. We're playin like those 2 don't even exist. Times have changed and Kobe is still our most important player but with a strong Bynum, Odom and Gasol, it's not ALL about him anymore.

Lakers are the west's only hope, the West has become so bad now...
they used to be sick 3-4 years ago when teams like T-Wolves, Spurs, Lakers, Kings were all top competitors and the East was weak.

East has the better chance this year, I like Boston's odds, my heart is with the Raps though babyyy

BAD? are you kidding me? even as a Wiz fan there is no way i can admit that the West is worse or has less of a chance to win than the East does, actually quite the contrary, the West has such great competition. So many teams in the east have no chance and as playoffs come around, the only teams in the east i can think of to make noise are detroit and boston, cleveland maybe

You have no idea what you're talking about. The west is as powerful as it has been in all of NBA history. The Spurs, Mavs, Rockets, Utah, New Orleans, Phoenix, Lakers, and Warriors are all title contenders.

But nobody, including the Celtics, will be able to defeat the Lakers in a seven-game series. We haven't even gotten back our 13pts/10rebound 20 year old center back yet!!

How can anyone possibly match up with two extremely talented all-star caliber 7-footers, the world's greatest player, the most versatile player in the league (lamar odom), the NBA's best bench (farmar, vujacic, turiaf, walton, radmanovich), and the NBA's greatest coach of all time?

I admit that Boston and San Antonio will be tough. But San Antonio is getting old, and have never won back to back championships. With the west this tough and tony parker injured, their chances at getting their first back to back are even more limited. Bynum, Gasol, and Turiaf will abuse duncan all day.

As for Boston, I don't even see them coming out of the East. They had their hot run, and now their teams weak bench is showing. They've lost 3 in a row to the west, and have lost to Cleveland, Detroit, and Orlando. They won't even come out of the East in my opinion.

So that leaves detroit-vs-lakers in the finals. And that's a no brainer. The lakers beat them in LA and lost on a last second 3-pointer in detroit WITHOUT bynum or gasol.
