    Porto v Schalke 2nd leg

Schalke win on penalties 4-1 in Porto's own back yard and through to the QFs after Porto tied aggregate 1-1. The Mickey Mouse League of Portugal beckons for Ricardo Quaresma where he is clearly wasting his time and energy by being a big fish stuck in a small pond.

Quaresma needs to move to a bigger club, the way Torres left Atletico for Liverpool

Quresma is best to just stay where he is, he showed that he can't compete in top clubs (barcelona)

how does a team get SOOOOOOOOOOO badly beaten in penalties???

Quaresma is AWESOME. i always have a little hope that Wenger will bring him into the EPL. Wenger can turn him into the next Ronaldo no doubt.

Just cause he may have not made it at Barca doesnt mean he is not world class. there was a time when his style of player had no place in the formation.

If what you mean is for the sake of Porto then no problems.

but for himself i think England is the best place to be seeing as we can see the success of Ronaldo and Nano already.

If anything i think Quaresma was better than both of them while all 3 were in Portugal. therefore he could only belong at Arsenal

and yet - apart from Mourinho at Porto - teams from Portugal barely make a whimper in Europe. Compared to EPL, La Liga and Serie A....YES it as well as others are a Mickey Mouse League making up the numbers in Europe.

Its just like Brazil has the best players, but the best league in South America is Argentina's. Because most of the players leave those leagues and only remnants of world class talents remain - and that is barely enough to make a good impression.

Sadly, leagues like Portugal, Holland, France, etc have become mere 'feeder leagues' to the BIG leagues in Europe because of the money and glamour there.

This goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is absolutly world class keeper
He saved Schalke 04s ass big times, what a world class saves by him
On of the best goalkeepers right now next to casilias.

They are exporters rather than importers.

But still the league's you mentioned are amongs the best in the world. So calling them 'mickey mouse' discredit's your argument!

I just watched the reply and there is not doubt who what man of the match.

This guy is amazing and so young at 21 he is a goalkeeper for the next 15 years! Germany can be assured of the goalkeeping spot in the future.

You cant be top of the food chain if you remain inside an exhaustive small pond - to be the best you have to compete with the best in their yard.

Leagues from Portugal, France, Holland, eastern Europe have all become feeder leagues to EPL, Spain, Italy. Ask someone from Portugal if he wanted to join Porto or a team like Spurs or Villareal or Udinese and most of the time he will pick the teams from the Big 3.

                            As Iqbal once said:
Beyond the stars there are many worlds out there.
More tests of Ishq still remain out there
