Liverpool were the better side on the night and deserved it. Apart from one Adebayor miss from the 30th minute onward Liverpool was on top.

And to those who say it wasn't a penalty...wow...you mean Fabregas holding Babel's hand and Toure going across his back making him fall over wasn't a penalty? Watch it again, people. I can understand that you can say some of those aren't given and some are, but to say it wasn't so categorically is baffling.

however i would like to add that there was something definitely suspect about the refereeing decisions across both legs.
All anyone can ask for in football is consistency. i dont want the dodgy decisions to go my way either.
but not giving Hleb the penalty in the first leg and giving this penalty at such an important part of the game creates doubts in my mind about the validity of referees in Europe.
having said that...i hope Liverpool beats chelsea but any opposition they play against will be more deserved to win then Liverpool.

Hleb's claim was a penalty. The ref didn't give it. Consistency is a tough thing to ask for because over the two legs there are two different refs with their own standards.
