so he deserves to win a ring because he is your favorite player!!!??? That is such a stupid thing to say. also I never knew iverson was your favorite player, I cant imagine anyone outside of philly and denver like iverson unless you are a hoodrat who can relate to his gangsta ass!!!

Anyways, I have watched NBA religously since 1992, and outside of the terrible officiating of the 2006 nba finals when dwade was gettin to the foul line like 25 times a game this was the worse case of officiating I have ever seen. I kept telling mysel the lakers will do this and that the next game but it wont matter if the officials call the game like this. and what was up with paul pierce??? whenever there was a contact the guy was crying!! Anyways, if the officiating gets better, the lakers wont have a problem

I love Allen Iverson too, he has the heart of a warrior. Probably no player in the NBA has taken as much of a physical pounding on a night in and night out basis than AI, but he continues to bring his A game every single night. I remember Tim Legler once saying that there were 2 players in the NBA that other players truly "feared" facing because of how badly they could humiliate you if they wanted to: Shaq and Iverson.

And come on man, you know this game had absolutely nothing to do with the officiating when it came down to it. You are the first person I've heard to even bring that up, and I've talked to dozens of hardcore, and even delusional Laker fans tonight. Bottom line is that Boston was more physical tonight, the Lakers will adjust to that quickly. But there isn't a doubt in anyone's mind that they deserved to lose game 1.

I hate players who not only miss practice but also publicly discourage it too!! I also hate the whole "gangsta" attitude that these players have brought to the NBA.

Also babak I havent forgot that you dont like Kobe so I let this one slide. Tim legler is one of the biggest idiots I have ever seen covering NBA.

sports illustrated had a poll going amongst NBA players ONLY. The poll was which player do you fear the most to go up against. 35% said KObe. The next 4 on the list (lebron, shaq, iverson and duncan) were a combined 24%!!!! It doesnt matter what one loser like legler says. I care about what the ENTIRE NBA thinks!

dude the officiating was actually not that bad especially when compared other moments in these playoffs. Kobe just wasnt getting any soft calls so he decided to stop driving. END OF STORY. As much as people wanna talk about how much the bench has improved and how much the pau gasol adds to this team, this team lives and dies by kobe. Kobe simply stopped showing that intensity and kept on trying to bring the lakers back with jumpers. Unfortuantley he forgot that the celtics are the best defensive team in the nba.

Lakers are gonna lose for 2 reasons:

1)They cannot rebound to save their lives. Theyve only have faced one guy whose a premier rebounder (tim duncan) and he tore up on boards.

2)They have no one on that team that can guard garnett. Boston can throw both paul pierce and james posey at kobe (2 solid defensive players); who do the lakers have? Is ronny turiaf gonna stop kevin garnett?

allen iverson is this generations dominique wilkins and george gervin. A guy who has all the stats in the world but none of the things that makes one a winner. Michael jordan only started winning titles when he realized that he incorporated his teammates into the gameplan, not just shutem down and try to go for 40 or 50 every night. Iverson simply never learned this and wil always be known as a great scorer but not as a great winner.

The player that everyone should truly fear is tim duncan. That man is a machine.

the half court call on gasol that turned out to be a 4 point play was not the right call. Then the same situation for the celtics in the secon half this time they didnt call it. As far as other fouls, I am not talking about the fouls they didnt call for Kobe. I am talking abouth the fouls they called on the lakers that werent even close to being foul including the one that gasolhad a CLEAN dunk on KG. The officiating was the 2nd worse I have seen in the last 17 years. It was only second to the miami dallas series 2 years ago

Is that why he lead a pathetic 76ers team to the NBA finals single handedly just a few years ago? The real fact of the matter is that he has never been surrounded by a legitimate championship cast of players in his career. He has made his money, had his fame and All-Star appearances, and everything else a selfish player would ever desire. The problem is that he just isn't a good fit in Denver with Carmelo at the moment. One of those two has to go. A warrior like AI who will do anything to win has a place on my team anyday of the week over a heartless whiner like Carmelo.

I respect Kobe and think he's one of the top 5 players to ever play in the NBA. Maybe one day he can surpass Jordan as the greatest ever, but I personally don't think that will happen.

As far as practice goes: Kobe probably gets more days off of practice than ANY star in the NBA with the exception of injury prone guys like McGrady, Baron, Shaq, etc. The difference is he doesn't come out and speak the truth like AI does. Iverson wears his emotions on his sleeve, similar to how Khodadad Azizi was. Kobe is just a politician who knows when to say the right things, and when to keep his mouth shut. He also happens to be an egotistical and selfish traitor who not only ran Shaq out of town, but even had the audacity to PUBLICLY demand a trade because things weren't going right for him here. Sure says how much he cares about the Lakers, doesn't it? As if that wasn't bad enough, he then openly ridicules and shits on Andrew Bynum in a video that surfaced on Youtube, and nearly pressured Kupchak into trading Bynum for a washed up Jason Kidd. Some moral and righteous character that Kobe Bryant is.

And I didn't even bother bringing up the recent story about his involvment with a Laker's cheerleader that has been largely kept under wraps at the moment. You would've thought he'd have learned his lesson after the Colorado incident. I guess not.

Tell me he's an incredible player and I'll accept that. But don't tell me you can't support a gangsta like Iverson because he talked about missing practice when Kobe has shown the moral character and loyalty of a snake.

laughter at the lakers in this case is the same as crying over the pestoons!! I expected the lakers to lose without bynum but I didnt expect them to lose becasue of the refs. If the celts win the championship, it will be all your pestoons fault for not making the finals. they obviously werent as agood as advertised (even by me)

                              what are you talking about!!!???

Its not kobe who talks about his practicing. Its people and players around him who say that. Kobe the day after winning the NBA championship in 2000 went and start practicing!!!!

Also look at AI. how many years did he miss the freakin playoffs in the weak eastern conference??? This year with carmelo, kenyon martin and the defensive presence marcus camby he got swept in the first round of the nba playoffs. Kobe WILLED a laker team that belonged to the CBA without him to the nba playoffs and not just as an 8th seed. If you watched the playoffs 2 years ago, the lakerswere one kwame (well its kwame!) rebound away from beating the suns.

The whole wearing the heart on the sleeve and pumping their chest thing is just a bunch of bologna!!! see who comes out and performes. That is what matters the most. Also i am not comapring Kobe with jordan. I am comparing Kobe to the other players of his generation and nobody else comes close

                                :bs:

The only reason he got them through to the finals is one of two reasons:

1)He was playing great ball that year, ill give him that.

2)That was easily the worst eastern conference ever. No one deserved to come out of that conference. Every single team from the east couldnt have even made the playoffs if they played in the west.

Im not gonna give this guy too much credit for beating the likes of the milwakee bucks.
