    Man, Kobe really showed me...
    game 1 9-26 4 TOs
    game 4 6-19 4 TOs
    game 5 8-21 6 TOs
game 6 7-22 4 TOs, not to mention an astounding +/- of -35. Not -5, not -15,not -25, not even -30. -35!!! HAHAHAHA! I didnt think that was possible. Way to step it up in the spotlight big boy
If this series showed anything was that how overrated MJ and how underrated his teammates were. Its a team game. One man regardless of who he is cant do anything. especially if they are a great defensive team.

Best tellin stat is how we didnt hear from you since the first round!!

I am just hoping the lakers wouldnt think they were close. They came 2 games shy of winning a championship but in reality they are miles away. If Kobe's teammates dont learn how to play defense and dont toughen up (gasol especially, he softer than cream cheese), next year is the same story

MJwithout a shadow of a doubt is the greatest basketball player of all time but the credit given to him far exceeds what it should be!!

When John Paxon and Steve Kerr hit open 3-pointers to clinch championships, that is not becaue MJ made them better. The best a star player can do is to help his teammates maximize their potential. He cant make them more "talented" something people were asking Kobe to do in the case of players like Kwame brown and smush parker. Thats god's job. In a way I think Kobe's critics have higher expectations than his fans do!!!

All we expect him to be is the best player in the game today and give his 100%. We dont expect him to creae a magic wand andmake players around him suddenly more talented!!!

that is where you are wrong my friend..
Jordan was the best player, on-the-court coach, a motivational speaker and a character and confidence builder for his team at ALL TIMES...while playing on the court..!!
more than 50% of Winning is IN YOUR MIND/HEAD..!! If you are mentally tough and resilient, failure is not an option, and when you play with confidence and a certain kind of arrogance, YOU AUTOMATICALLY BECOME INVINCIBLE..!!
those are traits that are lacking big time in other wise ultra skill wise talented hoopsters like KOBI..!! OR should i say especially Kobi..! that Kid has zero Personality..!! if you catch my drift...!!? no wonder his supporting cast seemed confused as to how to even play next to him..!!

Thank you for saying that because I was sure Kobe tougher minded ( geneticly he still is) than MJ evident by how confident he was when je was 19 years old and how he played the season he was going to court every week, but he has gotton weak over the last few years because of CONSTANT NONSTOP UNFOUNDED CRITICSM!!!!!!!

Everything he does the people who dont like him put a negative spin on it. Only the Kobe fans understand what I say because we feel it too. Last year Tmac said he wouldnt play the allstar game in Neworleans for security issues. Last year arenas said when he goes to Portland his mission is to drop 50 on them to get his revenge (he ended dropping only 8!!!) Just imagine for a second Kobe had made those commnts??? It wulda been the end of the world. All the talk shows and sports websites would be talkin about it 24/7

As doc rivers put it once: Kobe is most criticized player in the history of sports and in an unjust way.

MJ was an asshole to his teammates was arrogant as hell but his teammates were the same and the way I remember it MJ was never criticized the way kobe is on a daily basis.

            1) he asked to be traded May 30th for the first time and around June 10th for the last time. The public and the media acted like he was on the radio shows everyday till October where in fact he never said a single word beyond June 10th.

            2) He spends the entire summer in asia helping out poor kids and has basketall camps for free, the same time KG is chillin on the UCLA campus in pick up games and is partying everynight yet he is known to be the "passionate" guy

3)I knew it was never going to be over (this whole bashing)when after the 81 point game I heard the haters saying then why dis he have only 2 assists???? Like he is the point guard.

come on man, when did we ever hear about MJ not passing enough where in fact he was the biggest ballhog of all time??? Me personaly I ahve no problem with MJ being a ballhog. Thats why people pay to watch not Bj Armstrong driving to the hoop or bill welington dunk the ball. same is true for Kobe, if he is not playin Idont wanna watch a bunch of losers play

Bottom line is the coaching staff make players better not other players. MJ wasnt a coach. he was a player. the fact that his teammtes were athletic and were smart and gifted was a gift from god not MJ. Dennis rodman was alreadya star before he went to the bulls. Even till this day we havent had a rebounder like him. Name one player that is like sccotie pippen hese days?? if you can, I guarantee you him and kobe can win the championship everyday but not Kobe and lamar who is only a one dimensional player

It was a pleasure doing this thread for the playoffs this year. I learned alot more about the NBA by reading all the posts in here and it was great reading some of your debates.

              thank you!

You can't compare a power forward to a center man. If you want to insist on comparing them, Tim Duncan to Him is the better player because he is still performing at a high level. Tim Duncan is just not a flashy guy and he does not run his mouth in press conferences like Shaq, so he just does not get as much attention as Shaq.

They both have four rings but Shaq had Kobe and Wade. For teh most part San Antonio has good players but you can't compare Tony Parker to D Wade or Kobe Bryant. Why are you not giving any love to Duncan? I HATE the San Antonio Spurs but He's sure every Laker fan respects the hell out of Tim Duncan for what he was able to accomplish.

The X factor is that Tim Duncan is sitll going on strong and Shaq is nearing the end of his career. Both are very comparable and contributed to their teams. You can't hate on a guy who won four championships man. Tim Duncan and Shaq both won four therefore they are both legends in their respected positions. Shaq is perhaps the best cneter in the history of the NBA, and Tim Duncan in His book is the best power forward in the history of the NBA. He says perhpas with because you can make a case for Wilt Chamberlin being the best center in the history of the NBA. I woudn't put Charles Barkley or Karl Malone ahead of Duncan so to Him he is the best PF ever.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

he completely forgot about kareem abdul jabbar. and hakeem olajuwon. or maybe he didnt "forget" because these 2 have something in common that he doesnt like.
