    Here's a few interesting facts:

    * Manchester United won it's first league title in 1908
    * Busby Babes perished in the Munich air disaster in 1958 after going through to European Cup semis
    * United won the European Cup for the first time in 1968 (and had the lost the league title on the final day to Citeh)

So winning tomorrow means United win the league to commemorate exactly 100 years of its first ever league triumph

and as far as CL final goes, winning that too will be the PERFECT dedication to the Busby Babes, Sir Matt Busby, and the 1908 pioneers.

Yes, some players survived the crash - defender Bill Foulkes and keeper Harry Gregg just had a few bumps and were involved in pulling out the survivors from the wreckage - and were involved in the league game a few days later in a team filled with reserve players - most of them being mere teenagers. Many like Bobby Charlton had to miss most of the season due to recovery - some couldnt even play again and had to retire from football.

          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munich_Air_Disaster
Seven of Manchester United's players died immediately, and Duncan Edwards died from his injuries on 21 February at the Rechts der Isar Hospital in Munich. Johnny Berry and Jackie Blanchflower were both injured so severely that they never played again.

Matt Busby was seriously injured and had to stay in hospital for two months after the crash, and was read his last rites twice. There was speculation that the club would fold, but a threadbare United team completed the 1957-1958 season, with United's coach Jimmy Murphy standing in as manager; he had not travelled to Belgrade as he was away managing the Welsh national team at the time. A team largely made up of reserve and youth team players beat Sheffield Wednesday 3–0 in the first match after the disaster. The programme for that match showed simply a blank space where each United player's name should have been.

United only won one league game after the crash, causing their title challenge to collapse and push them down to ninth place in the league, but they reached the final of the FA Cup, losing 2–0 to Bolton Wanderers. Busby resumed managerial duties the next season (1958-1959) and eventually built a second generation of Busby Babes, including George Best and Denis Law, that ten years later won the European Cup in 1968, beating Benfica. Crash survivors Bobby Charlton and Bill Foulkes were two of the other players who lined up in that team.
The FA allowed United to actually buy players and a few lads were bought from other league sides hastily just for the team to retain some experience. Jimmy Murphy actually wanted to get an unemployed Ferenc Puskas who had left Hungary after the 1956 revolution, but FA rules on foreigners stopped him from doing that....Puskas ended up at Real Madrid a few months later.
