the role of christiano ronaldo should not be unseen here! he kept 2-3 turkis midfielders and defenders busy at all times, hence openning up space for his team mates specially in the middle and portugal attacked the depth of turkish defense and scored 2 goals.

good decision by scolari to let loose pepe as a defender who can come forward and join in attacks.
