It was a very even match, at the end, Turkey deserved this win because they fighted till the last second.

3/4 of the 120 minutes, Turkey played for extra time and Croatia wanted to win it, and should have. Boring 90 minutes. Extra time, Turkey utilised Croatia's tiredness to go back at them (finally) before Rustu almost f-ed it up for coming crazily off his line allowing Klasnic to score with barely a minute left of extra time. However, Turkey equalised in stoppage time of extra time (huh?) and Croatia suddenly getting the shock and Turkey the confidence used it for winning the penalties.

But bear in mind, Turkey will be going tired, stripped to the bone with their squad injured and suspended for semis (Tuncay, Arda Turan, Volkan etc). Sure they have heart, sure they have guts and pulled a few rabbits out of the hat, but how many more rabbits are left in the hat ? Germany will be looking forward to finally killing off a wounded and exhausted beast in the semis.

Unless, Turkey pull another rabbit out of their arse this time

i see where croatia is coming from, but the whole team ran on the field for like a minute and a half celebrating, so i can see why turkey got extra time

Well he had to do that slight change to what we suggested so he wouldn't reveal his secret visit to PFDC

Anyway, this was almost the Germany I wanted to see, way to go! I say Almost because the cool dominance, that made the Germans kings of every major tournament in the 70's and 80's and half of the 90's, isn't totally there yet, but the signs were there. Even the Swedish commentators were saying that the teams is slowly forming into one of those famous german steel units.

there is always one minute of extra time in extra time plus the croats took up the last minute of et celebrating and, semih scored exactly at the one minute mark of the stoppage time. all croatia had to do was make their penalities, and they choked. no luck, gheryat.

all croatia had to do was clear a desperation kick by the goalie, they had like 5 people go up for the header and none of em could clear it...that's not a lack of gheyrat, that's bad defense

besides, this tournament has especially been amount the team who capitalizes their chances and croatia was not able to do that.....not fair? see sweden vs spain
