Arshavin Most Keen On Spain Move
White-hot Russian star Andrei Arshavin has admitted for the first time in the public that he is planning to leave Zenit St. Petersburg in the summer, and has expressed a preference for the Spanish league over all others.

Zenit boss Dick Advocaat on Friday revealed that the audaciously gifted 27-year-old has decided to move on in favour of trying his luck abroad, which was quickly followed by the president of the Russian Football federation claiming in an interview that Arshavin is more than likely to join Barcelona.

"Perhaps the time has come, yes," Arshavin was quoted as saying in Spanish sports daily AS.

"I know that I have offers from England and Germany, but what I really want is to play in the Primera Liga.

"It's the championship that I have always followed, I like how football is played there.

"But for now, I have no offers from Spain."

Powered on by the likes of him and other fresh Roman Pavlyuchenko, Russia have electrified Euro 2008, and Arshavin is eager to keep proving that Russian football is well and truly on the rise.

"There are many good players in my country, but people are now discovering us," he added ahead of the highly intriguing semifinal against Spain.

"It's not only me. This tournament is an opportunity for us."

wow nihat is out too!?!?!? holy shit...

                        fun fact:

the top 5 players with the most accurate passes in the tournament are all from spain: xavi, senna, marchena, fabregas, and capdevila.

and david villa also leads the shots on target category with 10, but only has 12 shots total, meaning he has been off target only twice, compared to 12 off target for pavlyuchecno, and 16 for toni
